calls in early am
i am at work and use a cell

Got another call, this is a collections agency called Metropolitan Credit Adjusters.  
Yesterday, their automated caller must have malfunctioned.

I keep getting a call for someone who does not live with us, and the automated voice keeps telling me to either push a number to connect (if I answer|) or more often, they leave a message saying that it's an important call, not a sales call, and that I should call back at this number. I've gotten literaly 20 of these calls.

some ppl and their machines have no lives...

Sometimes their outgoing message recording is broken & fills up my answering machine until their message plays correctly. They identify as Metropolitan. I'm not going to bother returning a call when they don't identify what they want & don't have a real person calling me.

I have a restricted telephone number.  As this is an electronically placed call by a machine with no idetifying information, I would appreciate these calls stopping.

They have been calling me every other day or so for the last 2 or 3 months looking for someone else!
I see from these posts that is's a collections agency. Anyone know how to make it stop?

Been receiving this call as well.  So I finally called them, turned out to be that they're looking for somebody that has teh same last name as me, but that guy has a financial problem.  So I told them it's nto me, so they verified my phone (which is on their list) and my address (just give them partial address like the street numder and the street only, dont give them the Apt # in case you live in an apartment)

However I'll be wary if somebody is trying to still my identity which is rampant

then push "#" six or seven times and hang up.
I've been told doing this kicks your number
from their data base.

credit collection agency for Rogers. Even if I'm not the person they are looking for they still call .

I have contacted a Lawyer regarding MetCredit, In my situation my employer "Rogers Communication" sent my paycheque to them after I quit the company. Upon talking with my lawyer and showing him all my paper work they sent me regarding this. He took a good look at the papers and informed me that I have done nothing wrong and That I need to send MetCredit and Rogers a letter cc'ing one another stating that I do not owe anything and if yourself(MetCredit) and or Rogers communication continue to contact me you both will be sued for harassment. Once this is sent everything should stop! If it does not stop contact a lawyer and tell them the steps you have taken, then countersuit! once they have breached these requests you should be able to countersue against MetCredit or at least scare them off!

I told them I would not give them any personal information until they told me who they represented
Fishing for personal data I thought.

Statue of Limitations has kicked in 2 months ago. They can call all they want but won't be getting a dime out if me!!!! Bahahahaha!!!!

Rogers uses them

I have literally been getting these calls for over two years now. When I changed my number after I moved to a different city. The calls were in the late afternoon and evenings so I would nicely tell them they have the wrong person. That changed when they were rude to me and practically accused me of lying with there tones of voice and questions. They then say "sorry we will take you off the list" well who is the liars now. Here I am two years later and the calls are getting earlier and earlier in the am. Started At 9am when my 2 year old is just waking up. Annoying but I could put up with it. Today I got a call at 7:16am and tried telling the lady "I keep getting these calls and I'm not the person you are looking for." I wanted to tell her how early it was and that It was just rude of them" none of this was said she interrupted me at "I keep..." And the asked my number said i would be removed and then hung up on me. IM SO SICK OF BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP!!! Especially when I've done nothing. These calls are ruining my days, I know have to deal with a tired and grouchy 2year old who doesn't nap. Does anyone know what I can legally do about this. I'm tired of being harassed

I think this is a scam! We do not owe anything and they tried everything!
They tried really hard to solicit my husbands name, birthday and address from him! Could be identity theft!
This 1-877-388-1050 number is not automated and goes directly to a person, they say they are Metropolitan Credit Adjusters.

This is the Ontario arm of Metropolitan Credit Adjusters and doing their collections using this number.

I got a phone call everyday from 18773881050, it show on my phone this number is from America, but I live in Canada..
That is so weried!!
Can anyone tell me what is this phone number is?
I just don't want to get any call from this number

I'm inclined to think this is a scam. I'm getting these calls and have never had a Rogers account in my entire life. At the same time another phone # has started calling my cell and it's being attributed to Bell. My cell number is not listed and I owe neither of these companies any money so since I don't recognize either of these numbers when they call me I'm not going to bother picking up
