A message from this number was left on my phone. They said they were from CRA and mentioned a case number and that they needed to talk to me or the person representing me. I phoned the number and asked what CRA stood for. The lady said it was the name of their company and would not tell me what it stood for. Anyway, I told them I had got a message.  Apparently they were looking for someone with the same last name but the first name of Patricia. Which is not me. So that was that.

They called looking for a "Kim Granderson" and called from number 757-271-1549 but the voice mail stated they needed a call returned immediately to 877-394-0395. They did not mention who they were, but only stated to "call this office." They have the WRONG person.

A message from this number also left on my phone.  Alexis Grissham calling for a Barbara regarding case number 2890873.  I also called back to let them know it was the wrong number.  The person was very rude and even stated they would consider my call harassment.  Also they would not identify themselves.

Called & got ugly with person who answered the phone when the caller realized it wasn't who she was looking for. Claimed to be with CRA and left this number for call-back.

After doing some research, I'm not worried about calling them back...I will just keep a close eye on my bank accounts.

Please do not call me any longer.  You have the wrong number.  Do not disturb my grandmother any more and harrassing her.

I got the cal from the same number and lady was asking for my husband, the lady was really rude also mentioned CRA and wanted to leave a message for him. I asked why dont you call him, she said I do not have his number. Gave me ref. number too.

These people called our house looking for my mother. He would not give me any time to ask questions and suggested she called back IMMEDIATELY. They said they were from the CRA.. who and what is that?!?!

I also recieved a call from this company they said that they had recieved some information about me and that i didnt know about it that they really needed to talk to me by today i didnt let them know it was i on thae phone. and yes they keep harrassing me i dont know who they are and thay wont defulge that information either so dont respond back to this number.

Yea, I found it.  Its Consumer Recover Associates.  They are out of Virgnia Beach. Its zombie debt.

got a call from 757-986-1176. didnt answer it as i did not recognize the number. got a voicemail from a mr jackson calling for a rosario rios stating that it was an urgent matter and to contact CRA immediately at 877-394-0395 regarding acct number 2869612. clearly my voicemail states my name and i am definitely not rosario rios. WTF. the guy sounded like a goddamn hick. hahaha. he will not be getting a friendly call back from me especially after ive seen these other posts.

I got call from 757-986-1176. didnt answer it wasn’t a number I recognized I rec’d a   voicemail from a man stating his was with CRA and I need to return the call IMMEDIATELY. He did leave his name or an acct # just the following 1-877-394-0395 phone number to call back. When calling back I called 757-986-1176 the lady was very rude and wouldn’t tell me what CRA stood for or anything about the company. She cut me off stating in order for me to help you I need you to provide me with the phone number you were called at. I stated that I would after she told me about the company and she repeated and asked if I was willing to give her my phone number when I told her that I wasn't willing to give her the number until I knew more about the company she hung up the phone.

I got the same call from 877-394-0395 on my pre-paid phone and did not answer let them leave a message and when i called back was on hold for five minutes. The man answered and i asked about the company he said "let me look up the account give me the number" so i did and he gave me a mans name and i told him that i did not know who he was trying to get ahold of but it was not me, then he yelled at me " THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW THIS PERSON THE NAME IS ON THE ACCOUNT" I yelled over him that he was crazy and how do people get anything done with people like him yelling at you, he then yelled the same thing, i laughed and he hung up!!!! These people are crazy, rude, and stupid

when Reggie called this house he was very rude and arogant i did not like the way they treated me and i am changing my number. then i called back got put on hold and the next guy was an arogent *** that hung up the phone on me. then a lady answered the phone and got pissy with me when i informed her from the start that i was recording the phone call. by law if you are going to record a call you must inform them before the conversation goes anywhere. and she said said i needed her permission first. i am a Texan you cant mess with me.

These guys are scavengers who pull up old debts that have been written off and use scare tactics to get you to pay them something.  They are not collecting on the behalf of anyone, they are simply aware of an old debt and actually get people to pay them.  The first clue of it being a scam is they want to be paid directly, not the alleged debtor.  In my case it was regarding a small debt  of around $200 that has ballooned to over $3,000 with their fees and out of sight interest rates.  They actually threatened me with IRS action which this has nothing to do with whatsoever.  They have no standing to sue you, the debt has left your credit repost after this amount of time and is purely a scam.

I live in Texas that has a four year statue of limitations on debt collection from the time the account was deemed unpaid.  My advice is to cite the law and ask them to cease all calls.

Thanks for having a site like this.  I found a message on my phone asking for my ex husband to call them immediately.  I haven't seen him in over 6 years. but its also nice to know who I would be calling if I called this number to let them know that.  With all of your replies on here I"m not even going to bother doing that.

I have gotten several phone calls from this number and 757-336-0865. They called both my cell phone and my house phone at the same time and it was two different people. I have spoken to them one other time and was threatened with legal action. Mr White was extremely rude and would not listen to me. They told me that I owed 1000 on a pay day loan from 10 yrs ago. Statue of limitations ran out 6 yrs ago. They are extremely rude. I will not be calling them back as I do not wish to be belittled or threatened.
