Caller identified himself as "Eric from Monterey" calling about a "Prime Foods" account.  He had my first and last name (a common name and one listed in the phone book) and then mentioned another person whose name he may have gotten off of our phone message--but he used only the first name and the wrong first name--I am guessing a memory error.  Said he had not heard from us since April and if we did not call him back at extension 1170 he would have to take other action.  He never explicitly stated that there was a debt owed, but implied an unpaid account.  We do not have any such account.  I returned the call and left a message, without confirming/giving any information (not even what he had when he called), indicating that he must be in error, but if he believed he was not he would need to fax verification of a debt owed to a secure location and we would have our lawyers review it and respond accordingly.

Beware....Caller identified herself as "Kelly from Monterey" ext. 1225 calling about my "Internet Speedway" account.  She know my first and last name but nothing else. Stated that there was a outstanding balance with Internet Speedway.  I knew that my status with Internet Speedway was good.  So I called Internet Speedway, explained to them what had just happen.  They stated that it is a very bad scam and to not answer anymore of there calls.

Received a message tonight from "Neece of Monterey Financial" informing me that I must return her call tonight.  She didn't address anyone by name and she made it sound like there would be dire circumstances if we did not follow though.  Called back after hours to confirm that the company was Monterey Financial but did not leave a message.

Received call on two separate days from Monterrey Financial.  The voice claimed that she was calling about my account with "Global Travel International", and if I did not call her back,she would take other action.   The action was not specified, but the clear implication was that this "account" would be turned over for collection.  I have never heard of this company and have no account with them or any company with a similar name.  I looked up "Global Travel International" on the Web, and found their name on multiple posts connected with this type of harassing call.

I get those calls about Global Travel.  Global Travel is a complete fraud and rip-off, stay away from this company.   They are all on top of it to get you to sign up, then after you do, you'll never hear from them again.  They say you are a travel agent, what a joke.

I have not had a phone call from these people. But starting a couple of months back "Monterey Financial Service 877-3996374" started appearing on my Mastercard account with a charge for $40.02. Since I did not recognize the name or the reason I was being charged I tried to call them. After numerous times of trying on many days and only getting a busy signal I finally gave up. I called my Mastercard company to see if they could give me any more information on this business or charge but they were unable to. I instructed them not to pay it. ... Now today I received my Mastercard account for this month. Once again they have put a charge on my card for $40.02!!! This time when I called them I did get some one to answer the phone. When i said I was calling to find out why the charge on my account they asked for my name and address and then asked me to hold. After 5 min's of being left on hold, the phone would hang up! After this happening 3 times I have given up trying to contact them. I highly suggest for everyone reading this to go over your Visa/Mastercard charges each month for any eronious charges like this.

I FOUND OUT THAT THE NAME OF THE COMPANY THAT THIS 1-877-399-6374 NUMBER BELONGS TO NAME IS IDENTITY SWEEP...... I CALLED THIS COMPANY TO FIND OUT WHY THEY ARE TAKEN MONEY OUT MY BANK ACCT... I NEVER SPOKE WITH ANYBODY THEY ASK FOR YOU TO LEAVE A MSG... I DID NO ONE CALLED ME BACK SO I REPORTED THEM TO MY BANKS FRAUD DEPARTMENT ME THEY TRYED TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY A MAN PICKED UP AND SAID THAT HE HAS NO CLUE ABOUT THIS BUSINESS AND HE COULDNT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS..... I FOUND OUT THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY MAKING IT LOOK LIKE THEY MONITOR YOUR CREDIT AND THE TRUTH IS I NEVER GAVE THEM MY INFO TO MY BANK SOME COLLECTION AGENCY DID.. THESE PEIOPLE HAVE YET TO CALL ME BACK IF YOU RECIEVE A CALL OR SEE THEIR INFO ON YOUR BANK STATEMENT REPORT THEM OR HANG UP.... I WORK AT A COLLECTION AGENCY AND WE DONT GIVE PEOPLES INFO TO THERE BANK ACCT TO ANY ONE BY THAT PROCESSING COMPANY THAT TAKES THE PAYMENTS........ PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMING COMPANY.... THANKS FOR YOUR ATENTION...... NO WONDER WHY WHEN I RECIEVED MY CREDIT REPORT SOME THINGS THAT DIDNT BELONG TO ME WAS ON IT...... IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU REPORT THEM

Keep getting calls that say I need to return the call immediately. I'm assuming it is regarding the Global Travel International (GTI) scam that unfortunately I signed up for but didn't realize I couldn't cancel. This business is a complete rip-off. I have asked for documentation into what I signed up for and they haven't responded. Stay away from GTI!
