Received a message on my answering machine, "Investigator Norris, calling about a serious investigation pending in her office", and stating a case number.  Said she needed to speak with me by 5:00pm CST that day.  I live in upstate NY - where are other people located that are receiving these calls?

I got a call from Inspector Perez also about an investigation, along with a case number, and advising it was neither a solicitation nor a collections call.

Hmmmmm - just had a call a few minutes ago. Caller identified herself as investigator Lynne Watts of Global Investigations who was making inquiries about a 2005 silver Nissan Altima seen in our neighbor; actually specifying a house across the road.

Just got a call today from "Investigator Brady" asking me to call this number back and reference a claim number.  Was sceptical because I didn't recognize the area code and have heard of scams where you return the call and are billed a large amount on phone bill from foreign area where charges cannot be reversed, etc.

I had a message on my answering machine today from Investigator Vaughn in reference to someone & a case number & I called back & left a message on the voicemail.  I'm glad I didn't leave my cell phone for them to call back, but I have been trying to figure out who is this person they mentioned & how I'm involved.

This is not a repo company. It’s private investigative firm that mediates or resolve potential legal situations.

You should learn to listen to your messages better. no one says Inspector Bluh Bluh. it's always Investigators!!!

Maybe it has nothing to do with you but some one you know. again these investigators are trying to complete an investigation to get a potential legal situation mediated or resolved to keep it from going legal

And what about it? It's an investigation! If it's done correctly, an investigator will call friends, family and neighbors.

That only happens when you're calling sex hot lines. Did you learn your lesson? I hope!

So will a scammer, they do it all the time.  You sound like one yourself.  Good luck finding that CAPS LOCK key!

It appears to be a re-po company, they have a vehicle vin#, year, owners name, and asked if the car was parked currently outside at the neighbor;s house.

I got a similar call today only from "Investigator Aday".  Totally bogus sounding.  I deleted it.

Hmmm, maybe it could  be that there is a case filed in that office and there is an invesitagor trying to prevent that case from going legal. What is so hard about picking up the phone and calling back... Obviously you are curious about who and why they are calling...

Its a repo-company with global investigations when they answer they dont even tell you who they are very rude, but they do call family and frends looking for the car.
