A message left by the caller said that I entered an online drawing and won something. Ha-ha. I erased it but curious if they called anyone else.

Hello,

This is a personal official email directed to you and I request that it be treated as such.I once again try to notify you as my earlier letter was returned undelivered. I am Barrister DAVID KUTTY  a solicitor at law. I am the personal attorney/sole executor to the late Mr. Randolf (surname withheld),referred to as my client who worked as an independent oil magnate in my country (Ghana)and who unfortunately died in a car crash with his immediate family on the 4th of
Oct, 1998.

Since the death of my client in Oct, 1998, I have written several letters to the embassy with an intent to locate any of his extended relatives whom shall be claimants/beneficiaries of his abandoned personal estate here and all such efforts have been to no avail. More so, I have received official letters in the last few weeks suggesting a likely proceeding for confiscation of his abandoned personal assets in line with existing laws by the bank in which my client deposited the sum of $13.8 million U.S.D.

On this note i decided to search for a credible person and finding that you bear a similar last name, I was urged to contact you, that I may, with your consent, present you to the "trustee" bank as my late client's surviving family member so as to enable you put up a claim to the bank in that capacity as a next of kin of my client,so that the money can be transferred to any bank account of your choice for us to share mutually.

I find this possible for the fuller reasons that you bear a similar last  name with my client making it a lot easier for you to put up a claim in that capacity. I propose that 45% of the net sum will accrue to you at the conclusion of this deal in so far as I do not incur further expenses. Therefore, to facilitate the immediate transfer of this fund, you need, first to contact me via email signifying your interest and as soon as I obtain your confidence, I will immediately appraise you with the complete details as well as fax or Scan (through email)to send you the documents, with which you are to proceed and i shall direct on how to put up an application to the bank. HOWEVER, you will have to accent to an express agreement which I will forward to you in order to bind us in this transaction.

Upon the receipt of your reply, I will send you by fax or E-mail the next step to take. I will not fail to bring to your notice that this proposal is hitch-free and that you should not entertain any fears as the required arrangements have been made for the completion of this transfer. Like I said, I require only a solemn confidentiality on this. reply to davkutty@gmail.com

Best regards,
Barr.DAVID KUTTY.

Nice try David but these people know better. Anyone with any intelligence knows that you never contact dumbasses like you. Fake claims of inherited money coming from Africa usually by way of a European broker. The scam is so old now that my grandma wouldnt even fall for it. Give it up you losers. I laugh at your sorry attempts to get money from wealthy Americans. Eat the sand where you live and die!!!

They are a bunch of liars. Don't believe them. I got a call and researched the information I was given by the caller. They call themselves Travel Partners and supposedly you won a Car, a TV, $2500 or a vacation. They ask you to bring your credit card and checkbook with you to what they call a grand event and history of the company thing with food and so on. This is a time share plot to get you in the door and spend the 90 minutes listening to their presentation (I finally got it out of her). Don't waste your time - you will listen to their presentation they will tell you that you won a vacation for one and you'll have to pay thousands for your spouse/partner when you could have purchased the same vacation for less. They tell you it is a time sensitive issue because they want to lock in the appointment. Unless you are interested in a time share don't waste your precious time.

We got repeated calls from them.  My husband was suspicious, put in the return phone number and pulled up all these postings--they used the exact same spiel with us--there will be 4 couples at a travel agency--all are guaranteed to win a prize--a Lincoln Navigator, $$, a trip to Vegas.  Our caller's name was Melissa.  Thanks for alerting everyone to the scam!!

Tammy was right on. Boy, the internet is great. I googled them why I was on the telephone and got their "company" name: Mitchell Communications.  I have received these prises before too, and when the "vacation" is one of the prize options, it's a big red flag!

Thanks Tammy for saving me the time to research this call. It just seemed to good to be true. Plus, I can't recall the last time I filled out one of those forms to win something. There is always something attached to it.

Just got the voice mail I won 20,000 usd.. or other CASH prize... always Google first before returning any type of call, like this. I assumed it was a scam or time share type deal. I do enter a ton of sweeps using the e-mail they had, but only have ever won a really crappy vacation voucher or some worthless stone. did get a 32" tv back in the 90's after sitting for 8 hours  repeating no no no no.

so glad this is here for people to see. I wish these deals were illegal and could be prosecuted!

I just got a phone message from 248-423-7291 telling me to contact Judith my "prize director" to claim the Lincoln Navigator that I won.  I have had similar phone calls from different sources in the past so I knew it was a fake.

I got a voice mail yesterday.  Said my name had been entered for an Escalade. Knew right away what it was, although the message tried to assure me that it was not a time share, solicitation, etc.  Glad I was able to check out the phone number online.

Got a call from Melissa today stating I won $20000.  I called her back at 877 423 3715 ext 245 and told her my name and number is on the Do Not Call List.  She told me she was not a solicitor or telemarketer.  I asked her who I need to speak to to remove my number from their list.  She happily took my number (perhaps to call it on her own time - who knows).

Got a voicemail today from a "Joyce" telling me that my email was drawn and I was a definite winner of a Lincoln Navigator, some cash prize, a vacation to Vegas, Florida or Mexico or a 32" flat screen TV.  I called back because I figured that I may very well have entered some contest online (like on HGTV or something like that.)  She then asked if I was 28 or older (which I'm not, but not by much.)  When I said that I'm not, she said that I would have to have some other married couple (apparently this "contest" was only open to married couples) where both people are 28 or over go claim my "prize" for me.  I would have to be at 901 31st St. in Washington, D.C. by 6pm tomorrow night with two forms of ID (driver's license and credit card/checkbook.)  My hubby said that he thought it sounded like some sort of scam and to just disregard it.  I'm really glad that I Googled the phone number (877-423-3715 ext. 245 for Joyce) and got confirmation that it was a scam before I wasted precious time and gas going to D.C.  Thanks for the input from everyone!!
