Does anyone recognize this number?

Calls my home about 10 times a day and caller id just states, "toll free call". I called it back three different times and a man answers and says, "Brian Smith speaking, how may I help you".

Debt collector. Left a ridiculous/unintelligible/generic garbled message. Block.

Claims it about a collecting a debt.

Called and left a message claiming to be Credit Control LLC and it's about a debt collection. I do not know who these people are or who they're supposed to be collecting for. There's no mention of them on my credit reports which I monitor weekly.

These people have been calling me for a year! Sometimes twice a day. I have spoken with Brian who says there is no record of any problem on either of my telephones. What is this about and are these people damaging my credit score??? How do I get it to stop?

Yes, this is a debt collector,  don't answer it.

received a call from this number stated the were trying to collect a debt the thing is I don't owe anyone not even a credit card

Received a call from this number I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message saw on here it is a debt collector I don't owe anyone

Called regarding Dept of my husband, I requested they send a letter, they claimed to have sent several, none received, he has nothing in collections or even past due.

You may not owe anyone anything, but you may know someone who does and they are "skip tracing" trying to find the person who does.  My ex-husband's widow owes money and at one point the Credit bureaus had my ex and I and her all living at the same address/phone number.  Also shows up as a possible relative in BeenVerified.com.

We can almost set our clocks "every morning" with this phone number calling our home, "every morning". ( going on about 6 months or so), I hope, with all these people, including our selves, telling about :"very real", complaints about this phone number, can make a difference but I am not counting on it. I feel I am just wasting my time but still hoping for the best, for not just our family but for everyone, this phone number is really something else.

A woman who had my phone number before I did owes a lot of money to debt collectors, apparently. Just got a call from whoever this is.
Caller: "This is a phone call for [HER NAME] on a recorded line."
Me: "You have the wrong phone number."
Caller: "Mhm." *click*
Very effective debt collecting!

Seems like they do this to get around the Debt Collection Act , a law that states when you request proof they must verify it in writing
