texted me "pls call citicards about yout homedepot account." I called they tried to get my account number
i said no, they said they couldnt look up my account with my phone number. scammers

just received the same message today - Oct 20, 2013.  figured it was a scam.

I just received the same text and I do not even have a Home Depot card.

got same message.

I also got a call from this number and it WAS for my home depot card which I had forgotten to pay that month.

Got the same text when I called the number the people said the couldn"t help me unless I supplied my card number with I did not> I asked him how did they know I had a credit card with Home Depot but he said they just couldn"t heip without me suppling the number over the phone....sounded like a scam to me...

Got the same text on 11/14/14 to call the 877 # which is not a Citibank contact #.  This is a scam for sure.

just got a text to please call citicards about home depot account. wouldn't give me any info without my card number so I told her she should know what she was calling about. figured it was a scam and hung up.

For sure also a scam church or cover up by if you call a "city card" recording answers.

I posted the previous one but, I called Home Depot number in my plastic after I post previous comment and they certify that they sent the sms and that the number is a valid one from city bank. The and is because the payment of that month was not received.

Text msg received at 1:53pm CDT, "Pls call Citibank about your HomeDepot account 877-439-1011.  Free MSG. To end alerts reply QUIT.PO Box 183037, COLUMBUS,OH 43218".  Idiots!   Why would Citibank have anything to do with my HD acct?

It could be that Citibank issues the Home Depot card (look on the back of your card). Call the number on the back of your card.

A simple web search of Home Depot Credit Cards, navigating over to the terms and conditions shows that the card is issued by Citibank.  No store issues its own cards, they are all cards issued by someone and branded with the store name.  However never respond to a text message about any type of banking or credit card.  Always call the number on the back of the card.

Text - obvious scam - never reply in any manner to these!

Wife received a text from this number say to call them regarding her account.  Funny thing is my wife DOESN'T have an account with HD or Citi.
