- CJ| 5 repliesVoice on the other end had heavily accented English, asked to speak to the owner. When asked what this was regarding, he said our business was up to be listed on the front page of Google and he needed to confirm our details.
It's the cramming "local online yellow pages" scheme dressing in Google colors. These scammers aren't affiliated with Google at all.- Caller: not Google

- mtI get one call very day from this number. The two times answered a woman wanted to confirm my address and mentioned that they are working with "Google Yellow Pages" I detected that it was not true and proceeded to tell her to please place me on their "Do Not Call List" The number still calls me every day. Today I made a mistake, and picked-up the call... and a man voice with a very hush tone told me "don't call me anymore" Now that was very strange!!!?

- SML| 3 repliesI've received numerous phone calls from this number (at least once a day for 3 months). I have requested several times to those calling that they take our company off of their call list. I am the office manager and have found the calls to be quite irritating when they come in at least once a day if not more especially when I have placed all of our lines on the National "Do Not Call" Registry. The most recent phone call, received at 10:54 am on 9/10, was most interesting. When I requested our company removed from their call list, the young man on the line (who had a strong foreign accent) indicated to me that there was no list and he was only calling to verify our information to put us on the top of the Google search engine for our area. I've heard the spill a thousand times and I told him to, again, take us off their list. He then told me he would call me 100 times a day and proceeded to call me an idiot. I let him know that I would be reporting him, the phone call, and the business at which point he told me I'm even more of an idiot to think that would do anything. NICE. I'm now back logging all of the phone calls I've received from them and will be recording future calls as well. They will see who the real "idiot" is here.

- lamet replies to SMLyou have to FLAT out tell them YOU KNOW they are nothing but a scam and report the calls to the FTC and state attorney generals.
on the phone they CLAIM FREE listing - then send you an invoice for a paid listing! - RestauranteurMy hostesses get this call a few times a month. The new hostess got one today and they said something about an ad on Google for the restaurant and asked the hostess her name which unfortunately she gave them. Who do I report this to?
- BillokcHow's this for irony??.....While browsing through different threads on this website, I received a call from this number at my business.
Same sales pitch about featuring the business at the top of Yahoo and AOL. Person on the other end was a female foreigner with a thick accent. I played dumb and acted like I didn't know what she was talking about. She just repeated the featuring bit again and then began to ask questiuons about the correct business information.
I told her I was not authorized to give it out. She asked for the owner or manager and I told her they were not here. She said thanks and hung up.
Caller ID just showed "Toll Free Call" and the number.- Caller: not sure

- chIndian lady called. Said her name was "Alex Lopez", calling from "ibizfinder". Same Google ad crap as mentioned in the other posts. Asking to update our business information, that we would be listed on the Google homepage, and that theirs is a free service.
Asked to be removed from their list. If they call back after 10 biz days, I will report them to the FTC, State Attorney's office, and filing a complaint for harassment with the local authorities.- Caller: ibizfinder

If you observe this number, pick up the phone but say nothing - nothing at all. - dc trashWe get calls from our business daily on all 5 lines that we have i asked to be put on the do not call list and they put me to a manager and told me it would cost 50 dollars a month per phone number that would be placed on the list. I regesterd our numbers with the national do not call regestry but it hasnt worked so far i am going to give it a month.
- maggie replies to maggieCalled a second time yesterday, something about Google, asked for the business owner or manager. I said they weren't available, she said she'd call back, I said I really preferred she didn't and hung up.
Called again this morning, but as soon as I saw the number on the caller ID I picked up and hung up. Plan to keep this up as long as they do. - jcWe have been getting daily calls to our small business line. Heavy accent. Same stuff as above and refuse to honor our request to be on do not call. Government is regulating everything else. Amazing they can't help small businesses avoid these annoyances and potential scams.

- D'Arcy Barrett replies to SML| 1 replyI am an executive assistant and I too have found these calls to be amazingly brazen in nature. I get up to four calls a day. Always from someone with an accent that is very heavy. Many have been quite rude. They all have the same speil. John Mcleod is the executive director of MPS the parent company of this operation. He appears to run half a dozen of these type of gmail canibalizer companies. He is on linked in. Perhaps we could write him everytime his army calls us. I think we all receive tedious callers but this company takes the prize for "the most harassing callers" that I have encountered. WHEN I HAVE MENTIONED THAT I DONT OWN THE COMPANY, THEY HANG UP ABRUBTLY OR THEY GET MORE DEFIANTLY RUDE. DEFINITELY TELL THEM YOU OWN THE COMPANY AND THEN TELL THEM WHERE TO STICK THEIR PHONE. I empathize with your pain. These guys are complete jerks. How low of a life to you have to be to do this for a living? One of them was even insulted when I referred to them as tele-marketers...that was rich!
- 106 KHQ advertisingWas asked to give out information. I told them I can not do that, give me your number and I will have the office manager call you. Would not give me the information, insisted that I give out billing information . I did not.

- Dk| 1 replyI called this 800 number and they stated they are eBridge Interactive, address 16133 Ventura Blvd, Encino, Calf. 91436. This is what happens when you call a private investigator and get smart. Also the number is listed to a company called MPS, LLC 142 S.Main St., Adrian, Mich. 49221. If you use the 'White Pages' and use the reverse address feature for the Adrian, Mich. address you will get a listing of MPS', V.P., C.O.O and other members of this 'companies' board of directors. Maybe they need to receive letters from their 'fans'.
