Not sure who these people are.  Received a message saying this wasn't a debt collection call but did not state the nature of the call.

I got a message from this Capital (?) service or HPC is the greeting when you call there.  They actually called a friend of mine and told her they have a lien on her property.  When she got upset with them, they said they made a mistake and needed to talk to me instead and could she give me a message.  Their return phone number is 877-442-1601 but no one answers, they ask you to leave your name and number and a file number, which they had not provided.  Don't know who these people are.  Think they are a collection agency.  This is probably the same group of people who called my son last week asking for me and asking for my HOME address, which he did not give them.  Does anyone know who these people are???

I assure you that this is a debt collector. I just spoke with them. Mines was about a payday loan. 877-442-1601

This is a Debt Collector either for First Cash or Ace. They are using Deceitful practices. Do not believe what they say if they call you, they make it sound like they are working an insurance claim or police report and that it isn't even about you then they turn it around and let you know they are calling about you. I pissed the guy off so bad, the only response her had for me was I could go "fly a kite" lol... remember, you are in control of your finances, THEY AREN'T! There IS NO DEBTOR'S PRISON.

I got a call three times today. The person finally left a message that I had till the end of the to call her back, or she would have to make decission without my input. I did call call back. Looked up number on  computer, said it was collection company. I called BBB, and Attorney General. Both told me not to send money or even talk to them except to tell them to send me a ststement of the bill and the person Im to contact to dicuss the bill. I got taken a few months ago from a man claiming to be investagator taylor, I ended up sending him 300,00 because he said sherriff would be at my house within a few hours to arrest me. I have not sent anything else, nor have I heard from him . I did however give all the info to attorney generals office. So whan these people call you call attorney generals office. They will keep record of all the calls these people make.

So I read your post after my friend got a call for me. I called HPC back and spoke with this lady saying she was giving me a courtesy call before she proceeded with legal action to my county. Thing is, she doesn't my current county, i am wondering if she can find out? Two, what does your county do with it? Three, is there any legal advise regarding these matters? The only good thing was that she pulled up my history from my SSN and it is good, apparently i am not viewed as a fraudulent person. But now i might be. They really piss me off that they can toss around that word. Especially when I made all necessary calls explaining that I could not pay them back, unless they wanted minimum payment plan and they didn't and I honestly let them know I may not even be able to do that at this time. have you ever heard of what the worse outcome would be to this?

A Kelly from this HPC at 877-442-1601 called my home today and spoke with my son.  Harrassed him saying that he had to get the message to me immediately.  I can find nothing in the BBB about this company.  How can these people be allowed to practice these tactics?  People need to be aware of their rights as consumers and not be bullied by these companies.

hbc capital called me n tol me i had a loan wit a company and that if it went to court it would be a class one misdemeanor but he couldnt get me to the person that called me and he tol me it was only two ways i could pay.....western union or money gram.....kinda nervous what do u all think?

these people called one of my friends mom and tried harrasing her, but she told the to go to hell. Its just a collection agecny, more than likely from Ace Cash, so until i can give them the money, there is nothing either they or I can do.

you arre right it is a person calling from ACE, to collect a debt, they try and threaten you, but until you can give them the money, then there is nothing that you can do about it

I got a called from Nathan Davenport at 877-422-1601 x 109 leaving a message for a person that I have no idea of this person where abouts. I called him to confirm his call. The "Gentleman" left me the following message. " This message is for ****. I have an official document. It is imperative that you reach Mrs****            ( Which I do not know) becuase we need to here from her and she needs to make a statement of her side of the story. (At this point I am thinking police report). " If you know her where abouts please call me at 877-442-1601 ext.109".
Ok.. What was that about? So I called him..The thing about this gentleman that he did not know is that I work for a MAIN courthouse  and I know my statues and florida laws. To make this story short he spoke to me in a firm intimidating tone and I reply back to him  on a firm tone and listed every section statue number existed and I actually harrased him and he just hung up on me. I guess he is not calling back. Lol.... There goes that call. That was a 1st time for me and I guess it will be that last time for him. Next step...Going to do not call list website and block this number...Good luck for those of you. Remember be firm with the incoming caller from HPC. Don't let them intimidate you..You tell them how it is...

I have received many calls from this HPC management company, they say they need my info on a claim that has already been ruled on? They have also called saying they are investigators, however when I return call I just get answering machine. HPC people are very vague in their message, but borderline threatening.

I have received calls from HPC on several occassions..I have learned to just never call them back because you will get a bs answering machine. Its a scam especially if they ask for any of your information. Like you ssn. If they really have something against you then shouldn't they already have that information. Think about it. You do not have to speak to any of those people. If it is a problem check your credit. Your credit doesn't lie.

you can type in attorneys for consumers and they will help you. I got help for my mom with the same problem. It is against the law for them to threaten you with those kind of threats. We won our case against a collection agency for their tactics.

This number called me and they said it was a attorneys office that there was a claim against me and that I had to pay an amount that I owed to quick cash it was 7 years that I had that but I claimed bankruptcy then but they said I had to give up my rights and when I kept on telling him I didn't he hung up on me

They were trying to reach a friend of mine.  I do not want them calling me.

I kept getting messages from stating that I needed to call to give my side of the story regarding a claim against me and that this was time sensitive.  I called to find out that this was about a payday loan.  The girl I spoke to said that I needed to call everyone I know to get the money to pay off my balance today, before the file was taken off of her desk.  I asked what would happen then and she said that she could't tell me that do to privacy.  When I told her that I had no one to ask, she kept asking how I could have no one who loves me or cares about me enough to lend me the money or to take out a payday loan themselves, and give the money to me.  She said that she would give me until 10am tomorrow.  
I looked the number out and read the posts.  I called back and requested a statement be sent to me.  The girl said that she could e-mail me one.  She asked for my e-mail address but asked me to hold on in the middle of me giving it to her.  Some supervisor came on the line.  I asked again for a statement and he began yelling at me when I mentioned the BBB and Attorney General.  I said that the girl I spoke to said she could send me a statement and that I had a right to one.  He said that he would mark my file that I am refusing to cooperate and hung up.
