- David Grindstaff replies to Craig| 1 replyMaybe Mrs. Craig should take her head out of her own [***] and tell us what proof she has as to the slanderous statement she made. She (mrs. Craig)was expecting what, for 120$ a month, for complete coverage of all medical expenses. Sounds like mrs. Craig doesn't have any common sense as to the current state of the world of medical expenses, and how the hospitals are allowed to do things like charge the uninsured more money than they normally charge insured patients. If you purchased a benefits plan and expected it to act exactly like an INSURANCE POLICY, that just shows your own ignorance. Maybe you should pull your head out of your [***] and use some common sense.
- David Grindstaff replies to Almost Tricked| 3 repliesSo you didn't even hear the benefits of the plan before you used a slanderous statement like "scam". You more or less just decided you would effect other peoples' opinion of a perfectly reputable company who offers the uninsurable at least some medical benefits. Some benefits are better than no benefits at all. The person you talked to and offered no details about the plan was probably brand new and did not have all the details about the plan that is offered. So basically what we have are 3 complaints about a company that has been in business since 1936. Not a bad track record if you ask me.
- Susan Taylor replies to David GrindstaffMaybe you should pull your head out of your as*!!! I personally understand how this woman feels and it's not just 3 complaints against this so called reputable company. Take a look at thier profile on the BBB and you will see there are over 300 complaints against them as of today. This company is a scam and all consumers should be wary!! They don't come through with the bull crap they offer. No one expects to get full coverage from them but you can't even find a doctor that they have on their webiste who has ever heard of them. I personally called over 20 of their so called providers and no one knew who they were. Also, the rep who sold this policy to me lied through his teeth about the copays on prescription drugs. I have had a policy with these scam artist since last year which I cancelled today and have NEVER found one doctor who accepts the plan or any discounts on my prescriptions. I have personally filed a complaint with the BBB and contacted my local new station concerning this company's fraudulent practices. I also plan to contact a lawyer and file suit against them for the money I have wasted with their crappy company. So why don't you do your homework? This company is a SCAM and no one should have to go through what myself and the lady you bashed have been through. Goody for you for having medical insurance. My husband got laid off and lost all his benefits after working for a company for 23 years. We felt like this would at the very least help with expenses for his medical and prescription until he found another job. He is diabetic and the only actual insurance company that would cover him was BDBS but they wanted nearly $1000.00 per month which we don't have. So before you go spouting off about things you don't know about consider the people who are desperate for any type of coverage. I think you are a jackas*!!!
- Mariah Adin replies to David GrindstaffA reputable company does not have the Illinois Attroney General sue them (settlement was made in favor of the State of Illinois) for deceptive marketing and sales tactics. A reputable company does not have over 350 complaints against it on the site of the BBB. A reputable company does not take advantage of the FTC regulation that if a person has asked you for information once you have an "established business realtionship" with that person, to then proceed to call said person five or more times a day.
I was informed by your representative that your company was PPO, it directly paid the providers giving the healthcare, and covered 80% of hospital, 85% of Labs/Xrays, 65% of doctor's visits, and had a $10 co-pay. As there are, in fact, reputable PPO plans which can be as low as $150 a month, it is not unreasonable for a person to believe that your company can offer PPO services for $120 a month. I did not sign up for your plan because I did further research on your company and determined that it has a history of acting in a manner which is fraudulent, even though I am still receiving 3 or more telephone calls a day from you.
I have included my name on this post because I stand behind everything which I have said here, so if you want to sure me for slander, you go right on ahead. It is a matter of public record that your company has a "C" rating by the BBB, and was sued by the Illinois Attorney General's office for deceptive marketing and sales. This information allows a reasonable assumption that the company acts in a manner which may be considered fraudulent within the lay vocabulary of many consumers, ie a "scam." - concern replies to CraigGoodHealth Plan - is it a scam co????

- Jsnyder replies to maxi| 1 replyHi Everyone,
I just got laid off and was offered COBRA to the tune of $450.00 a month. Naturally I wanted to compare prices of an individual policy versus continuation through my company and applied for insurance through an online website. A lot of what the posts are saying is exactly what the representative told me. I first received a call from a 321 number and a follow-up call from the 877-446-8700. The fees were 259.85 enrollment and 139.95 a month. I asked if the company could send me some more info via e-mail or USPS and was told for a variety of reasons it could not, the oddest reason being the company was non-profit (huh?). To me, this doesn't sound legit. I simply don't understand why an insurance carrier cannot or will not send out info to its customers, unless of course it's a scam. Buyer beware! - Angela replies to maxiYes, do not trust them! I would have hung up on them if I had known what I know now!
- Kay from Virginia replies to David GrindstaffYou need to do your home work, I have contacted the Better Business Department about Good Health, they told me they didn't have any thing on this insurance company. They also told me to come here and see about this company. With the insurance costs going up higher and higher, you would have to be a fool to take what this company is offering for the low rates they are offering. I would love to be able to get the benefits they are offering for they're cost, I would be tickled pink, but I think I would turn purple from being taken advantage of. Come on people do all your home work on these telemarketers. Watching our in Virginia.
- Annie| 3 repliesI got a call from Mr. Greg that I could have a good insurance plan for me and my daughter in just $139 per month. At initial stage I have to pay $220 also. Then he said it will cover all medical expenses, no deductibles because it is non profit organization. When I said I need some time to think he said that we have enough people. It is just a courtesy call and later I can't assure you will get that plan and if you want this you have to tell all details right now. this doesn't feel right to me. Then I search on Internet and I get information about this.

- UNHAPPY replies to JsnyderI was mislead the same way. It's terrible that people have to go through this just to stay healthy. I watch so many people around me who never work a day in their lives get free medical and can have as many children as they want. I, on the other hand, work very hard but for a school that doesnt offer family medical, only individual. So unfortunately, my husbad and I will have to wait even longer to start a family because of this terrible burden. We need better politicians who can and will actually get this health coverage situation squared away so people can just live a healthy life no matter their situation.
- Elizabeth replies to Annie| 1 replyIgot the same call.. from a Mr. Garry. PPO 80% this 60% that. I was flat out lied to. I don't know what to do. I'm a college student, with no insurance and two kids. I went to the internet to look up the company after paying my down payment and not getting my intro. email. It seems they are a scam. I should have held to my guns and waited, but we were so excited to get insurance for so low that would cover us until we are out of school. I have no idea what to do. I just flushed $269.. I think I'm going to be sick.

- cnumy GOD..!!! you all saved me... am not just believing you or changed my opinion just like changing my under pants... i just dropped my jaw when Nicole from NBC Health. She gave such a lucrative offer $119.95/month and 239.95 as a start up fee and is a PPO. I was speechless and could not ask for more details. She even has a coverage for on the shelf drugs at wal-mart or CVS if they cost above $10. She asked me to start it today to get this offer or on request she will hold it for me until friday and will call me back on firday. If i decided to buy, she gave a number to call 877-446-8700 ext: 113 and her name was Nicole. You know waht she insisted on one question. she asked me nearly 3-4 times on the call, "You say that you dont have an Insurance plan right now..?" and i answered her all the three times yes. When I asked to send the quote and information to my email, her answer was "it's already in your inbox".
Later i checked my email, did not find any email from her/company and was curious to know more and called back to get quote to email, I heard the company name as "Good Health Plan". why the F*** she lied to me that she is from NBC Health.
Am very new to take an insurance and was searching online. I submitted my information and contact details to www.ehealthinsurance.com, there onwards my email box filled with junk with insurance quotes from other insurance providers/vendors/what ever but only 1-2 from ehealthinsurance.com- Caller: Good health Plan

- Veronica| 2 repliesMy mother received a call from Angel at this number (877) 446-8700. He automatically started speaking to her in Spanish, which she thought was odd but went along with it. He went on to tell her that he was calling from a non-profit health insurance company. He offered her a great quote like the ones listed above and insisted she sign up that same day. When she told him that she wanted to look into it and asked for a website, he gave it to her quickly so she wasn't really able to write it down correctly. But since he had also given her his number (at extension #122), she figured she could always call him to ask for it again. She received another call today from a different number but she didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message either. I decided to google this number and am so glad I did because I found several websites, including this one, with complaints regarding this so-called health insurance company.

- CautiousCallerI was called by this same company by one, "Dave" who gave me the very same speil and a too good to be true rate. In fact I have received several calls ever since I went onto a different web site asking for some information on available health plans. As with all callers I ask them to forward me information by e-mail or mail and that's when they get off the line and I know they are con artists. In this case they gave me their web site which I did not have to even look at since the scam letters appeared in my Google search as well.
Thank you all for the warnings.
By the way I do not know who this "Grindstaff" is but he sounds like an ill-bred ignoramus based on the language he uses and his stupid reasoning in sheer desperation to justify the apparent scam being perpetrated.- Caller: goodhealthplan.com

- MiriamW replies to RichardThis guy said he was from www.goodhealthplan.net. The phone number he called from was 561-922-3687. He could offer my family of 4 full health insurance for $139 per month. I asked him to see the fine-print paper work to my house and he said "...no that's too expensive - it costs 10cents per page to print and send out..."
I said "this sounds too good to be true - i need to research this.."
then I found this website.
Thank you to all of you who reported this scam.
