wrong number sorry...they never called

Got a voice mail, did not register number on phone except as UNAVAILABLE. On voice mail, it did not give number, but immediate voice said this is Anthony Stone, and it has come to my attention a court case has been filed against your social security number and call me back to give information for address for serving papers. Did not leave the name of the person filing the court case or any other information. Anthony Stone is supposedly some "big time" hot shot security person in NY with all kinds of credentials for NY licenses, then in small letters only lists "& KS" with no information regarding KS licenses.

WARNING: DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAP WITHOUT WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION FIRST! / I got a call that said "Unavailable" and it left a message. He said he was Michael Williams and it was regarding a pending court case filed against me from some bad check I had written back in 2003 which I do not recall. He has the last four digits of my social security number which prompted me to return the call asap. When I called back, another person answered the phone named John Tills. I told him that I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy last year and it is already charged off in court. He told me that their client purposely did not put this debt on any of the major crediting agencies because they wanted to fly under the radar so they can sue me just before the 10 year statute of limitations is up. He told me that I would have to pay for all the court costs, attorney fees and the outstanding debt of $762. The next he did was handed me over to this woman who never gave me her name but said she was the acting attorney and gave me the 3rd degree. They had me children’s names and enough information that made e believe they were legitimate. I fell into their trap of intimidation and gave them my debit card number to set up four payments to be paid within 30 days. They were bullying me into giving them everything up front and their bullying tactics unfortunately worked on me. I never received a letter from them nor were they ever on my credit reports. They only said they were from National Attorney. Fortunately I rushed to my bank and stopped payment, deactivated my debit card and filled out a written statement so that they will investigate the situation. They may end up with my $100. Initial payment but they will not get another dime out of me. I feel like I was taken advantage of and fell into their trap without ever receiving any documentation. BIG LIFE LESSON LEARNED.

I received this exact same call. Anthony stone stating the same thing as aboove. i called the number and ext tension to the main office he left on my voicemail of : 1-877-447-2540 ext 1, and was told i or my attorney needed to call the complainaint right away. I called and got a gentle man that said he was from CR associates and they were an attorneys office and I needed to verify my info before he could tell me anything. He asked my name I confirmed, he asked to verify my social, and i told him i didnt know him or his company and did not feel comfortabale doing that, I was returning their call. He said unless I verified my social he could not tell me anything, and to just sign the papers and he would see me in court. Has anyone been able to find out if this place is legit, and can they practice in ohio if they are really out of New York?

received a message from a guy called shawn hill leasion he received a fax with a court caSE NUMBER AND IM TO CALL and give them info on my address and place of employment do not know what this is about it seems a scam they calked on my house phone in which i never use and no one has the number go figure .he said it cnr check and credit reporting inc.this person needs to sis and decease i call phiesing scam

I received a call today from a private caller stating she was informed by CRR associate that I was being sue . She had my last four digit of my social security number and my home address. What should I do. Should I call them back.

When I got home today there was a message for me to call877-447-2540. the caller said his name was
Shawn Gibson and he was a liason and that he had papers to serve me with and that he was trying to give
me "a heads up" about it. He also said I needed to call cr associates at above ph# right away. I called the ph#
but, I get sent to ext. 222 every time and of course the person is not available and their voicemail is full!
I say to heck with them! IF, they think I am going to fall this scam, they are DEAD wrong!
One of my son-in-laws is a Deputy Sheriff and the other one is a Detective. I want this place to come after me.
They will go to jail!

I received a call and set up a payment plan. I will contact a lawyer and file a counter suite for mental anguish. Scare tactics are not a legal form of collection. I used to work for a collection agency and knew back then that scare tactics are not legal. Contact a lawyer and counter sue. By the way the person I was called by was Matthew Zegaria and I got a docket number. I'll pay what I owe but the way they contact you is so total illegal.
