I stumbled across an add on craigslist too, and talked with the same guy, DEREK STEWART.  The house looked great, but IT IS A SCAM!!!!  Beware!  NEVER give your credit card number and CHARGES ****$199**** JUST TO LOOK at a property.  That is ridiculous.  His website orangefuture.com or derekorangefuture.com asks for the same thing.  Don't trust it, or him.

Hey everyone the other people are right, I called the 877 number on craigs list someone name Nadia asked for my personal and credit card information. I felt strange giving out my card number so I told her I didn't have it and would call back. I called back and spoke to a Tabatha who was rude and I told her why would I give $199 up front to get a home without proof of if they can provide the service listed. She directed me to the orangefuture website and I googled the address and then phone number gave me your messages. The representatives have personal cell phone numbers for return calls with various area codes. Main warning nothing is listed as one main number. Tabatha stated she was in another state working from home next warning untraceable. Wow! Don't trust this the main address on site is fake you can't verify it. They need to remove this from craig's list before it gives the website a bad image.

I had my real estate guy investigate these orange future people.  My real estate guy told me it sounded fishy, but what could it hurt?  So I gave them my credit card number, and they charged me.  All was good until today, when I found your complaint, along with a few others.  Plus there web site can no longer be displayed!!!!  So, I think I got screwed too, and it sounded so awesome too.  But like my husband and my realator guy said "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."   huge bummer.   On a good note, I was told by a friend that we can call our credit card companies and submit a fraud claim.  We should be able to get our money back.     Good Luck!!!!!!!!

well, i'm in the same boat. i talked with my bank yesterday to see what we could do about getting my $200 back and they told me there isn't anything they can do. as i expected orangefuture.com has a way around it. i've tried calling over 20 times and their web site is no longer available. all i can say is there's a very hot place in hell for people like them. has anyone been charged again after the initial $200? I'm wondering if i need to cancel my card. thanks.

You can do something. I got scammed by them..I have filed complaints w/ the BBB and FTC b/c they will not refund my money. Was told it would be 30 days and the manager Midge convientley doesn't know what the hold up is. My bank is actually investigating them via dispute and temporarly gave me my money back.

this is actually my second post today. I am PISSED!!!!!! I have been trying to get ahold of these people for months to get my money back and everytime I call them I will wait on hold for 45 minutes just to have a answering machine come on and tell me that there sorry but no one is available to take my call. I have left several messages and have yet to hear from someone. How did you get your bank to refund your money to you temporarily?

Me too, was suckered last night and paid $199.  However they did have a web site and I checked many properities (with maps) in the community I'm interested in.  Will check out these properities next week when I travel to CO.  In the meantime my bank said they already had my money and to call the bank on a working day to report the scam and they will refute the charge.  Hope I get my money back.

Wow, I knew something was wrong because I've been scammed enough.  Ater listening to their spill, I said that I wanted to do research first to make sure it wasn't a scam, and I'd call them back.  Glad I did.  Even reputable companies are starting to scam these days becuase laws are protecting them.  I've just learned to pray now.

well am glad i started researching them before i gave them my money. it just seemed too good to be true. i just didn't feel comfortable giving my credit information to someone without having proof. so i started looking for more information on the company. thanks to this website i was able to save myself from headaches and drama. i am going to report them to bbb. and i know the fbi is starting to crack down on internet fraud. so i am going to go to their website and see can you place a complaint with them also. good luck and bless all of you.

"helpful about the company" is not the same as being a reputable firm who regularly delivers the goods/services promised.  I am an escrow officer for a major title company and have been investing in real estate for 20 years.  I spoke with Doug and the claims he made are simply not possible in the world of real estate which I know and deal in.  When I questioned him about certain specifics, he either backed away from prior statements, or added additional info which changed the nature of what he was previously claiming is possible.  Either way, I'm still waiting for someone to step forward with a success story.  I have yet to see a posting by someone with something positive to say....why???
