I stumbled across an add on craigslist too, and talked with the same guy, DEREK STEWART.  The house looked great, but IT IS A SCAM!!!!  Beware!  NEVER give your credit card number and CHARGES ****$199**** JUST TO LOOK at a property.  That is ridiculous.  His website orangefuture.com or derekorangefuture.com asks for the same thing.  Don't trust it, or him.

Hey everyone the other people are right, I called the 877 number on craigs list someone name Nadia asked for my personal and credit card information. I felt strange giving out my card number so I told her I didn't have it and would call back. I called back and spoke to a Tabatha who was rude and I told her why would I give $199 up front to get a home without proof of if they can provide the service listed. She directed me to the orangefuture website and I googled the address and then phone number gave me your messages. The representatives have personal cell phone numbers for return calls with various area codes. Main warning nothing is listed as one main number. Tabatha stated she was in another state working from home next warning untraceable. Wow! Don't trust this the main address on site is fake you can't verify it. They need to remove this from craig's list before it gives the website a bad image.

"helpful about the company" is not the same as being a reputable firm who regularly delivers the goods/services promised.  I am an escrow officer for a major title company and have been investing in real estate for 20 years.  I spoke with Doug and the claims he made are simply not possible in the world of real estate which I know and deal in.  When I questioned him about certain specifics, he either backed away from prior statements, or added additional info which changed the nature of what he was previously claiming is possible.  Either way, I'm still waiting for someone to step forward with a success story.  I have yet to see a posting by someone with something positive to say....why???

You are the only one in dozens of searches that I ran that has anything good to say about this company.  Why don't you share a little more details about your experience, like: How many houses did you go through before you found this one?  Who holds the mortgage?  What type of mortgage do you have? What was the closing like?  etc?

I was on hold for 15 minutes then someone answered who had no idea what property I was talking about from craigs list but insisted that it was available.  THEN he demanded my CC information after getting email info and address and when I said no, he got defensive and said "well that just isnt how we work".  I am so glad that I found this site shortly after the call.

I fell for this scam.  I found them on craigslist and called. Although upon paying I was told I could cancel anytime for a full refund.  After I joined, was I led to the terms on their website saying I could only cancel within ONE DAY of joining.  Apparently, now it's too late to get a refund.  I called them to confront them on how these terms were not given to me upon payment over the phone and was told my initial phone call will be reviewed.  IS THERE ANY LEGAL ACTION I CAN TAKE???

The minute I saw online that this company was bad news, i lost all interest in using their services (that and any additional house search beyond your first costs $99 PER SEARCH), so i'm concentrating primarily on getting my money back.  Also, they never returned my call like they said (as if i could trust them less now).  I did do the initial property search, in which there were no pictures of the properties.  I asked specifically if they provided them and they said they did.  This was important to me as I'm 2,000 miles from these properties.  So yes I used their services once, but they were not what I was led to believe they were.  My bank will be filing a dispute tomorrow.  If anyone knows what else I can do besides warn everyone else and have a slim chance of getting refunded, any advice is appreciated

I called orangefuture.com a few months back, when I joined up they told me all of the information about the program. I then immediately sighned up and gave out my credit card information for the membership fee of $199. After I was billed I thaught the website was not as well "formatted" as it could be but I gave it a shot. I found a home in santa barbara california, a three bedroom two bathroom home so I immediately jumped on the property. It took around 3 days to get a response from the financing department to set up a walkthough on the property and they gave me all of the in depth details about the property. The home appraised for about $290,000 and since they only deal with homes with 25% or more equity in the home I got it for 215,000 wich is a steal in this neighborhood. Then we set up the loan, I wasn't sure how the whole proscess worked but they set me up for a loan for $215,000  and I paid off the existing mortgage and then it was just a quick claim deed. Now I would not say im in the home of my dreams or anything but it's a good FU*&ing start!

I had my real estate guy investigate these orange future people.  My real estate guy told me it sounded fishy, but what could it hurt?  So I gave them my credit card number, and they charged me.  All was good until today, when I found your complaint, along with a few others.  Plus there web site can no longer be displayed!!!!  So, I think I got screwed too, and it sounded so awesome too.  But like my husband and my realator guy said "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."   huge bummer.   On a good note, I was told by a friend that we can call our credit card companies and submit a fraud claim.  We should be able to get our money back.     Good Luck!!!!!!!!

All I wanted was to see some houses.  I asked "Derrek Stewart" if I would be charged anything,...cause I didn't have the money, and he said no....that the 199.00 was just a move-in fee (when you were actually moving in)  The 199.00 was taken out of my account that same night.  Called...left a message, then called again the next morning.  Was on hold for 30 minutes (waiting for the next representative)  and when it finally got to me, I got the voicemail.  Hmmm  So email your friends, tell everyone you know that is looking for a house...STAY AWAY FROM ORANGE FUTURE AND DERREK STEWART.  FAKE FAKE FAKE
