- Daisyleft message saying legal documents would be sent to my job for me to sign and I need to have an attorney or myself respond due to check fraud? very strange...and the person calling used someone's name and left that sort of message on my voicemail. same person called and left a different number for me to call as well
- jillGot a threat for suit on an out of Statute Kays account that I already paid. Reported it to the Attorney General.
- MotherSomebody just called me and was asking me to call this phone number and provided me with a case number . I would like to report this scam !!
- Caller: Processor's office
- Sarah ParkerUnknown number called leaving a voicemail that my husband had a complaint filed on him. They left callback number
877-462-7289 and and a case #. I tried looking up both "companies" that called and could not find anything information on them. The callback number was a MN number and we live in TX. Reporting this as fraud!!! - ConsumerUnknown number on my caller ID, a female left a message saying I needed to call 877-462-7289 right away and provide the reference number she gave, because a complaint was filed against me in that office and that if I did not call a legal action would be filed against me and the fact that this call was proof they had tried to contact me before proceeding with legal action. This is an attempt to scare people into call this company and providing them with your personal information and send them money for an unpaid account that they claim is yours, it's all just a scam. I called the number they told me they were filing criminal charges against me and I was going to jail if I did give them my CC information to settle the account immediately, I told the guy I spoke to I would call him back in 5 mins. when I got my wallet, I then called a friend of mine who is an actual Sheriff's Deputy here where I live, he called them back as me, and when he ID'd himself as a Sheriff's Deputy they hung up on him and now when we try to call them back and give them my reference number they just hang up. So this is just a scam, report them to your local police department.
- RLJust got this phone call. My husband answered his cell phone and they claimed they tried to serve him at another address. The funny thing is today is Veterans Day. All courts are closed today and all federal buildings AND why would a local court here in our area have a phone # that has a 877 area code. SCAMMERS!!
- Caller: UNKNOW
- nrcI was told the caller was a process server working for a firm called Global Management, and that he was attempting to serve me with a subpoena for a court case. He gave me a case # and said I had to call the court every week to find out when my trial was to be. He would give me no other details other than I needed to call the 877 number to find out what the case was and this was a final attempt to contact me. He then said they would go ahead and file legal proceedings with the court. I had thought a court date would be set so I could be subpoenaed to appear.... And isn't a case supposed to be filed before they can subpoena you? I'm obviously no lawyer but...
- Caller: "A process server"
- rjBlocked call, stated they needed to serve papers, did not provide state, county, or type of court. Did not provide address only number to call with case number. This is a scam from buffalo ny who uses border to hide from prosecution various state agencies. Orders from various states attorney generals to stop have been ignored. Often debt collection is past state collection time period and not collectible. Another tactic is they sell debt collection to another country to avoid prosecution.
Hard to avoid as identity theft is out of control. Best to not answer any unknown calls- Caller: did not give
- Call type: Debt collector
- Melissa KI received 3 calls in a row from an "unknown" number. One the 3rd call, I answered and the man told me he was from the "state processors office" I questioned him where that is located. He proceeded to tell me my husband had a court document that would be delivered tomorrow between 9a-2p and tried to verify our address (which he had incorrect). I told him we would not be home and he proceeded to give me the 877 listed in this thread. It's a shame that people have no problem trying to scam people this way. Be careful!
