There is long pause when you answer and then they want to speak with owner or manager.  Just hang up.
Checked with yellow pages online and no businesses listed with this number.

calls at least twice every day. i finally answered and a guy asked for the owner of the business, and then all i heard was yelling and other annoying noises, so i promptly hung up. i hate these losers. i have a list by my phone of numbers to hang up on.

The automated calling system from this number takes a few seconds to connect with an operator.  The women that I walked with said it was for Local Business Directory.  This is a shady SEM (search engine marketing) service that I believe is connected with eBridge, Inc. (aka Zip Web).  

They offer to enter/update the listing for your company information to be shown on Yahoo!, Google, Bing and other search engines/directories.  They will say the the listing is free, but it is a 30-day trial.  If you do not cancel within 30-days, they will automatically charge you $99.95/month to your phone bill.

As a general rule of thumb: be hesitant to cooperate with any company that calls you and says that they are adding/update your company's information to be shown on search engines and directories, or say they are from Yellow [something] (insinuating a connecting with Yellow Book or Yellow Pages) and are just updating your listing.

They will begin by getting the basic information of your company down and then go into a quickly worded spiel about the service (and slide in the trial and monthly fee information in).  They will reassure you that the trial is free and that you can cancel at any time (with the intention that you forget or that your request won't be processed in time).

I am trained in SEO (search engine optimization) and SEM, so I can tell you that:
a) there service is over priced
b) there service is not at all effective in propagating content about your company to the web
c) they are just one in many other companies that try to scam money out of people for SEO and SEM

Check for yourself.  Google "Ebridge Scam" or "Zipweb Scam" for more information.

To be safe, when you get a call like this, ask right up front ask (before you provide your company information) if this is for a service that offers a free trial and is follow by an automatic billing.  This will save you a lot of grief.

Getting calls regularly.  Is there a way to block incoming call from certain numbers? Or do they just keep changing the number that shows up from their dialer.

Get several calls per day from this number at our office. When they ask for owner and/or manager, I always tell them that they are not available and offer to take a message. They immediately hang up. If this was a legitimate business/service, they would gladly leave a message in the hopes of selling their products and/or services. My opinion is...SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

This number calls at times but our system filters them out as a "nuisance call" although it does give them the option of leaving a voice mail message which they never can seem to do.  So for their time, effort and money they don't even get a "hello", they get nothing.  Interesting way to spend their time and money but some do have strange ways of trying to bother people that are not interested in anything they might offer.

This number is calling me several times a day.  Haven't answered, don't intend to.  Thank goodness for Caller ID, don't know what we did back in the day.

These guys have been calling regularly, so I finally picked up and got someone on the line.  He said he was "Keith Mendoza from Ebridge", and asked for the owner or manager of the business.  Said that we were going to be featured on their site next month so we would be at the top of any Google searches for our area.  Had very outdated info for us, wanted to update.  Classic crammer approach, so I told him we don't need their services and hung up.  Will be interesting to see if they call back.

We have received a number of calls from this number and have asked to be removed from their calling list.

They call at least twice a day. Rude and hang up on me everytime I question what they really want. Told them to stop calling several times but they won't stop. Will have to start hanging up I guess when I see they call again. What a terrible job that would be calling like that and lying like you are just getting updated info when you are really soliciting. Losers.

man, these calls are coming in like three times per day, at least. Never have had the chance to tell them to s_rew off and get a real job, no one is there to talk to. Idf they are trying to sell something, someone at that company has a lot to learn about how not to piss people off.

They've called me 6 times today! I know they've called more than 1x / day before, but this is rediculous!! Glad I finally looked this number up on here.
