get a text saying "We've been trying to reach you about your $100 dollar rewards certificate Please call us @ (877) 481-5023.  To be opt'd out reply STOP"

I just got that exact same text.  Seems fishy to me.

I got that exact same message about 2 hrs ago.  obviously some kind of scam

Same for me - got a text from 937-381-7381 stating the same thing -"We've been trying to reach you about your $100 dollar rewards certificate Please call us @ (877) 481-5023.  To be opt'd out reply STOP" I didnt do anything but delete it

Got the same: got a text from 715-220-8161 stating the same thing -"We've been trying to reach you about your $100 dollar rewards certificate Please call us @ (877) 481-5023.  To be opt'd out reply STOP" I didnt do anything but delete it

Got the same message to call 877 - 481 - 5023 but it came from (401) 678- 6417. The last time I got one of these messages, there was a report in the local newspaper that it's a scam - if you click on the number from your phone it can put malware and junk on your phone to collect your data.

I got a text from 818-251-6563 to text or call 877-481-5023.  Scam!!  I blocked the #'s on my phone.  Hope that helps!

got a txt from a +15093509245 saying "We've been trying to reach you by phone about your $100 Target gift card   please call us @ 877 481-5023     I AM SURE IT IS A SCAM  ESPECIALLY SINCE I DON'T GO TO TARGET AT ALL

I received the same message on my phone and upon calling them back, the man who answered dodged every single question of mine when I asked for information on the company for verification purposes. I told him that I was just trying to make sure I wasn't goingscammed and he said that their calls are recorded and monitored. I then said that I was not notified of any recording of calls. The man abruptly hung up on me. Do not call back or respond to these messages. It is a HUGE scam! They also said that I would be receiving a $100 Target gift card the only thing I would need to do is send $3.95 for shipping and handling. Do not fall for this!

Received a text message from 513-291-1282:  "Hello, please call us @ 877-481-5023.  We've been trying to contact you about your $100 dollar rewards certificate.  To be opt'd out reply STOP."

Nah, I don't think so.  I'll just use my handy-dandy app called "Call Blocker".  :)

My Mom got the same message on her phone from the same number..since she actually is waiting for $100 visa gift card from the bank she thought the message was coming from there; therefore she told me to call them since the card is taking a long time to arrive..i called and gave out my full name and my address since I couldn't understand clearly when they told me where they were calling me from..but when she told me I had to pay $3.95 for shipping and handling with a credit or debit card for "$100 girft card from wal-mart" so there I had my doubts and figured it was a scamer..I told the lady I didnt have a credit card and that if there was another way of payment... She hung up.. Now I'm worried cuz I gave out my full name and address..could they do something with that info?? :/

got the same message about the $100 dollar rewards certificate to call 877-481-5023 and the text was from 918-908-0186

DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!  IT IS A VERIFIED SCAM.  A call was made requesting Tax ID and owner information, when asked why and they were told the Dept of Justice was checking for fraud the call was disconnected and refused each time after.

Now it is about a 250$ wallmart gift card, also the number that it came from is 715-220-8161
