Called this morning, Did not leave a message. I guess it is a telemarketer.

I received a phone call early in the morning from this phone number.  They hug up on my answering machine. I tried to block it with a screening service I have on my phone line and it keeps saying there is an error in the phone number I am trying to block. When I contact the number someone answers the phone and refuses to tell me what company they represent unless I give them my phone number so they can determine why they called me. I told them I was not giving them my phone number and hung up.  I am on a do not call list.  I would bet they will be calling me again tomorrow morning really early and probably every day until they talk to me. Can someone tell me how to block it?  If I call them and tell them I am going to report them because I am on the do not call list I know they will again ask me what phone number I am calling from.  I have a blocked number and unlisted phone number. They are calling on my land line.

Debt collector!  I returned their phone call.  I had to ask their rep 3 times to repeat the name of the company with his broken English.  Still not sure if "Allied Interstate LOC" is their correct name.  They were looking for my adult daughter who hasn't lived here in many years and left a string of debt collectors after her.  

I answered this number that showed up on my screen in taking a chance that it was legit. There was nothing on the other end, just blank space. The number has appeared on my screen for the last couple days. Checked through my records and the number isn't on any known contacts, so I blocked the call. If the number is legit, they'll know how to get in touch with me.

Investigation Division/Department
They are rude, they will yell at you, even when you dont who they are looking for, they are harassing and will keep calling you for the next 20 minutes. The "general investigation" company is located in Florida.  Then they will call you from 480-483-2190 a collection agency out of phoenix.

Calling without leaving messages.  Have a newborn and wakes up baby every time.  Sick of these endless calls...

I got a call from the number without voicemail.  When they called back later the same day, I answered, and there was a pause where the automated dialer connected me to a call center.  A man with an Indian accent mumbled, "This call is being recorded.  May I speak with {some indistinct name}?"  It wasn't my name, but I asked him "Say again?"  Instead of answering, he immediately hung up.  You'd think he'd found my number above a urinal somewhere.

re'd a call today : 24feb14  12:12  asking for a female .then  what to fish out my info. i refuse . also did not know the person and he would ph. nu. off. let see

Calling for a relative that has never lived here

Got a call from this number. Don't know who it is... They didn't leave a message, and I am NOT calling them back!!

Report the call to the Do Not Call Registry - they'll take care of it.

they are calling for someone that does not even live here, and then they hang up on me

What I've done is create a contact on my smartphone named "DO NOT ANSWER !"
Every time I get an annoyance call it gets added to this contact. This contact now contains
about 50 numbers. With my latest phone I am able to block the contact. So every one of those
numbers do not ring my phone. For inspiration I have the picture of a human orifice suitable to
the unseen caller's place and purpose. So even with all calls blocked it leaves me with a smile
to place new jerks up this hole.

I get a call from this number at least 4 times a week. When I pick up no one is there...........total silence.Only once a person was there and I couldn't understand what they were saying.Does anyone know how I can stop this number from calling?  

See they called me and didn't leave a message. I screen my calls and I don't like TELEMARKETERS at all calling to sell me anything. I never found out who it was so I just blocked. thanks for posting.

Some ignorant jerk who can barely speak English keeps harassing me for someone I have never met!  I cannot even understand the name of the person he is looking for because his English is HORRIBLE!  He sounds like he has a mouth full of crap and needs to stop calling my house!

I called back. And yes broken English. Indian accent.  She said allied something. But wants all my info before giving me reason to call.  Yeah. No.

I got a call from this number this morning when I called them back a fairly nice Indian man picked up the phone and said it was Allied Collections.  When informed they were being recorded and they were calling the wrong number they promptly removed my number without any problems.

If they are not calling for you... Call them back on your cell phone. They will take that number down, call you on your cell and you got them. A collecting agency did that with me and I got an attorney, free of charge, and they were fined. I got $1,000 fro the fine they were issued.
