Phishing Scam.  Claimed to be "Citi Client First Concierge Services - servicing a number of related accounts".  Tried to get my full name, account number and social security number out of me.  Spoke to the number on the back of my Citi card and they confirmed that noone within the system was trying to contact me and that there is no such thing as "Citi Client First".  The scammers then try and read off a long list of "other accounts" they service, department stores, other retailers, gas merchants, etc. and try and get you to give you those numbers as well.  Don't fall for it.  While Citi may service some of these merchants, if you had a branded card with a merchant's name on it, Citi would never ever reveal itself as being behind it, all the agents would be scripted under the name of the merchant only.

I have both a Citicard and a Home Depot card, which is run by Citibank.  Missed a payment on the Home Depot Card.  Started getting the calls.  At first thought is was a phishing scam.  I called the Citicard customer support, they had no clue.  I called the Home Depot Card customer support number (their main number...not the above number) and was told that Citi Client First indeed had been trying to reach me in reference to the late payment, and that the 877-483-9183 was actually them.  Made payment arrangements with them and they promised to stop calling.

A message was left on my voice mail to call the above # and when I called twice they hang up in the middle of our conversations. Then I got a call from the same number, at this time I told the caller that I don't know who exactly I was talking to and I didn't feel comfortable to talk and then the person hanged up.

Received "Final Notice" letter dated January 3, 2014, from "National Association of Travelers Claims Department"  directing me as a "claimant" to respond by January 27th, 2014,  by calling 877-483-8721 to claim "an award for (2) two complimentary airline tickets to anywhere in the continental US to a major international airport. Certain restrictions apply." There was no return address on envelope and no address on their masthead; however envelope stamped “mailed from zip code 85026” and “Mailers Postmark Permit 1767.” I did not call this number based on the previous comments, and I will be forwarding this letter to the proper authorities for investigation.

This IS a phishing scam. The scary part about it is they seem to be closely monitoring and mirroring actual activity on my Citi account. I had a fraudulent charge, and after confirming that and taking needed security measures with the actual Citi fraud department (who reached me via a completely different number, which was the same number I needed to call to confirm), I had a call and voice mail two minutes later from (469) 914-7213 requesting I contact this number. I received another call/voice mail today after I had already received and activated my new card. If you're asked to call back on a different number than the one that calls you, that's a big red flag. I reported both numbers to Citi's fraud department. As Anon mentioned above, Citi confirmed neither of these numbers are theirs.

"Angie" from "Citibank" called my office, asking for my co-worker, regarding a "personal banking matter." When I asked for a call-back number, she told me to "hold on a sec" and had to look it up, then gave me this number (877-483-9183). I don't have proof whether or not it was a scam, but I figured I should post so that people would know it's still active in 2019.
