Called number and it is some automated system for supposed debt collection. Very scammy.- Caller: unknown
- Call type: Debt collector
- RobI assume this is Regent Asset Management again. They're using the same voice actor with a new name, new script and new callback number every time, but the message is always the same: call by 5pm ("please"|"it's important"|"or else").
They've recently gotten more low-rent, the robo-dialer just playing a continuous loop instead of even attempting to start at the beginning.
I see no need to respond to robo-calls from a debt collector that can't be bothered to even tell me who "he's" calling for.- Caller: Didn't say: probably Regent Asset Management
- mary replies to not happyi received a call from 1-877-490-2785 didnt say who there looking for just that they wanted me to call between 9:00 till 5:00pm.when i called back they said they were a law enforcement.told them not to call agaon
- MiffedSame for us! Same thing happened close to a year ago and stopped.
It's got to be a scam or else they'd leave info and the name of the person they were calling for.- Caller: Jimmy Lewis,III
- What now?I recieved a threatening call talking about a final disposition, which I'm no lawyers so not sure exactly what that could mean. They did use my name in the message, well, my maiden name. I have only recieved one call so far but I feel harassed. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I did something wrong that I'm unaware of or have some old debt that needs taken care of from long ago. Rather shook up about it frankly. I have been applying to a lot of colleges lately so my contact info probably got into the wrong hands because of that. I am going to look up my credit report and see if there is legitimately something I need to take care of. If there is something needing to be delt with, I will make it right, but I still will not subject myself to abuse by returned such a hostile call. There are better ways to approach people, random bullying out of the blue doesn't settle well with me.
- PFI receive intermittent odd calls (from a variety of numbers) that leave similar messages as mentioned in all the other posts.
however today, this number 1-877-490-2785 called, and the voice mail was an actual person stating their name was Kris and they were with enforcement dept of Imperial. Also said he would be available till 8pm.
lots of back ground noise, overall didn't sound professional.
if this was a scripted robo call, the actor hired to do it was terrible, at one moment it sounded like he hushed (or responded of sorts) someone else in the background.
Considering I've not received any mail in regards to any collection efforts from anyone, I will do as I do with all the others and ignore. If they know my cell number they should be able to find out my address...- Caller: Imperial

- AndrewJust got a accepted a call from these guys after weeks of calls. A man named Jeff asked for my wife, i asked what it was in regards to, he said his name was "Jeff", I asked where he worked, and he said it was about "Claims Adjustment". He was being vague and rude, and naturally I had already assumed it was a scam to begin with. I told him I needed to know the company he worked for, and the business he had with us, and he said it was "against federal law to disclose that information", then impatiently demanded to speak with my wife. I told him that he can keep calling all he wants, but he won't be speaking with her until understand the nature of the call. I told him that he was awfully demanding, and asked if he was a government employee, and he said he could neither "confirm or deny that" (lol). He said he would never call me again after being treated so rudely, and that i could explain to my wife the trouble we were in once he settled his affairs on his own end, then hung up on me. Classy guys. Aggressive, rude, and have the tone that would try and suggest to a person that they were from the government.
- Caller: Claims Adjustment
- AndrewUpdate - I called them back and got a brad that sounds like jeff, but who knows. I asked what they do and they said they were from "Claims Enforcement Office", for a company named "Imperial". This is consistent with above comments, so I thought it pertinent to add this info.
- Caller: Imperial
- AndrewUpdate - They just called me back again, asking if it was "Andrew" (I had never disclosed my name in previous discussions), I said yes, and he asked why I had called. I told them that I was just calling to get the company name so I could report them to the BBB, to which he replied "Oh, have fun with that", and hung up the phone. These guys just get nicer and nicer.

- Mike| 1 replyThis is a pathetic debt collection company in Kansas City. Caller is Jimmy Lewis III. They purchase old uncollected debts for pennies on the dollar and then make a last ditch effort to collect before the seven year statuatory limitations run out and the debt drops off you credit report. Don't return calls and whatever you do, don't pay them a dime or the seven year clock starts over. They have a |
"F" rating with the BBB.

- kjsdgdslkjI keep getting calls from this number. They ask for someone who is not associated with me and I have told them they got a wrong number. They keep saying they will remove me from their call list but they haven't!
- kiser25 replies to not happyI have got the same call about 8 times in the last 2 weeks. Today, the man said his name was Jimmy Lewis the III. I don't know what it's about and they never say who it's for.
- mailman"Jimmy Lewis 'the third' " <eyeball roll>
I got the same call from Jimmy this morning.
Same exact script as above:
"I will be expecting your call between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM Central standard Time. It is imperative I speak with you today. This is Jimmy Lewis the third. I've been receiving the same type of calls for over a year. Different voices - never identify what company they're calling for. I have never & will never return their calls. If it's that important they need to send me a letter via registered mail. My # is on both the State and Federal do not call lists. I'm guessing they've
never heard of a "do not call" list.
