Faxes from this number come to our office promoting special travel discounts for state employees to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Jamaica, or Hawaii.  When I inquired about the deal, the salesman "name dropped" to say JP Morgan may have purchased all the available packages last week (which was a red flag because the firm isn't a government or state agency that would have received the special state employee promo). I was put on hold for a long time and then when he returned, he indicated there were only 2 or 4 slots left, so I'd need to start the process now in order to get the deal. The salesman suggested that he could "sweeten the deal" by giving me 18 months to travel on this package if I purchase today. Questions I had were evaded, and he couldn't tell me about the company or provide a Web site where I could check it out.   I would supposedly receive a receipt by mail along with a booklet of the resorts to which I could travel on this package deal. The faxed ad's "from" line calls themselves HR / Delta Sky Team (and using the Delta logo) but the package deal doesn't include airfare, and you can't go ahead and schedule flights for an additional cost/purchase - his "reason" for not being able to do this now was that I have to contact the airline at least 45 days in advance of travel, so I said I'd plan to travel in May and would like to book it all now, but he dodged me. When I said that I wasn't comfortable doing business with a firm that I received a fax from, the salesman asked "why did you call, then?" To which I responded that I wanted information and a reputable firm would be able to direct me to their Web site so that I could check it out in more detail and then call back.  He hung up on me.  There is another number associated with this "business" for promo recipients to call to remove their fax number:  888-393-1379.  That number is  an automated system prompting the caller to enter their fax number.

    not a patsy
Standard spam fax from these thieves with new phone numbers listed.  This one uses American Airlines and Royal Caribbean logos in violation of law.  Don't call the "removal" number because all it does is verify a real, working phone number to sell to other thieves.

I just called today, as I received a fax with a promo. I just wanted to call and inquire about the process and if there was any "catch." I would have been interested if they seemed legit, as I am getting married next year, and though this would be prefect for our honeymoon. As stated in previous posts, I was on hold for a little while. The salesman ignored any questions I had as far as the process of purchasing, what website I should go to, etc. When he asked me what name I wanted to put my package under, I told him I would have to discuss with my Fiance first, but that I just wanted to know the general process for this. His response was, "Ooooh," and he hung up on me. WHAT A JERK! They also claimed there were only 3 packages left, and had the American Airlines Logo on their fax, as well as "First 500 callers receive a free Royal Caribbean Cruise," stating that Royal Caribbean was a proud sponsor. HA! I'm glad I dodged a bullet with this one.

I Can Be Just As RUDE!
Called to get the details and when I told him I needed to discuss this with my husband, he said, "Thanks for wasting my time" and he slammed the phone down making a loud crashing sound.  Dang!  Hope I didn't feel like calling back later and setting up our trip!  Guess I will just have to keep calling and wasting their time today...I wonder how many will I can get to curse at me??  Scammers!  Go kick rocks!

Same as all the above - we get these regularly on our fax machine.  We've just started to get our IT folks to block this number so they don't come through... but they seem to find a way.

We have been getting these for over 6 years for different "Companies". I knew they were a scam and use the paper as scrap when they fax. If you want a real vacation use someone local or someone you can trust. Would never plan on a vacation from a fax I got. I laugh at them when the fax comes in but feel bad for those who think they are getting a deal. People who run these scams make me sick.

I have been receiving these faxes for as long as I can remember. I've always known they were a scam so whenever I'm bored at work I always call them and when they answer I just lay my hand down on all the numbers. Sometimes I'll play a little song for them with the number tones, if they are lucky. They always hang up and I always call right back. This can go on for a good 20 minutes.... Its lovely how irritated they get.

Did you pay by credit card?  What was the merchant name on your billing statement and couldn't you dispute it with the credit card company?

I personally think the last two updates are employees of this phony "tours-r-us" company. Any how....I thought about purchasing one of these packages just to see what happens and then updating you all.  So my money will be on old for a minute....what's a couple hundred? The credit card company will reimburse me if it's a scam anyway.  More to come....
