I believe it is a collection agency out of Houston, Texas called Maximum Recovery.  I am  not sure. They don't identify themselves but they are harrassing me at work.  I have no idea who they are or what they are after!

I received a call from Tiffany at 877-498-5600 ex.3414 who said that it was a legal matter and wanted to hear from me or my attorney and if not it could have terrible results.

How can people leave that kind of message.  The call did not even come to my desk at work, it went to a co-worker who forwarded the to me and she also heard the message.

This is NOT a collection agency!  They use scare tactic by mentioning some legal nonsense.  You get an automated machine asking you to punch in codes.  Your phone may be charged some outrageous amount.  So don't bother.  It's laughable to imagine that so many other people are in the same legal problem coming from this same phone number where no live person answers the calls.  SCAM.

Have had several voice mails from this no. left on office voice mail.  "It's about a very important business matter" and leaves a reference no. (008700240-278).

Got a call on my work phone regarding an urgent matter in their office from a Debra Johnson leaving a reference no. The phone number on my caller id is 713-481-9947, but the number she want me to call is 877-498-5600 ext 3451. Did not state what matter to discussor the name of the company..

got a cal today from gigi smith 713-481-9947(on caller id)about an urgent matter and told me goog luck if i do not call back today, legal matter will be taken against me. i get this call 3xs a month from different people but same # saying the same thing. if they want me that bad send a letter or a court order.....

they do collections work for direct merchants bank mastercard and several other creditors... the # they left is your account #

Received a message on answering machine from Isaac Williams at 877-498-5600 ext 3430 asking for information about a possible relative of mine with the same last name living in another state.  No other details.  I called the number and talked with a secretary who answered the phone "Maximum Recovery Solutions," and she said Williams was on the phone. I did Google searches for "Maximum Recovery Solutions," and "877-498-5600. "877-498-5600" turned up this website.  I probably won't call them back.

don't remember any calls from this number but did get letter saying they were going to check my personal records for checking accounts, real estate, car ownership ect.. they show as my creditor VRM collections L.P. ??? I checked and they are not registered in oregon to collect debts. I don't think they are in Texas either. Collection agency for a collection agency. WOW!!!

Mrs. Shannon Walker call my mother home asking for me then a close friend of mine, saying she was with the county I lived in and also stated she was an attorney and I needed to call her asap. She never identified herself as being maximum recovery solutions and when I asked her over and over she was very rude and unpleasant.

LINDA MOORE CALLED AND TALK TO ONE OF MY CO-WORKERS AND WHEN SHE TOLD HER I WASNT AT MY DESK AND COULD SHE HOLD A MINUTE SHE WENT ON TO PUT MY BUSINESS ALL ON THE FRONT PAGE SHE WAS SAY COULD SHE TELL ME THAT I NEED TO SPEAK WITH HER OR HER ATTORNEY OKAY I THINK THAT WAS A LITTLE MUCH TO BE PUTTING OUT THIER AND SO SHE GAVE HER MY CO WORKER THAT IS HER NUMBER AND WHO SHE WAS WITH. I MEAN IF THESE PEOPLE EVERPLAN ON BEGIN PAID THEY NEED TO STOP CALLING PEOPLE'S JOBS CAUSE SO PLACES DONT PLAY THE PERSONLA CALLS AND COULD FIRE SOMEBODY OVER THESE CALLS THIER SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF LAW AGAINST THIS [***].

This company is a completer fraud . Wish I knew how to sue them.

I received a call from a Mrs. P stating that I needed to contact her at 877-498-5600 ext 3441 regarding a returned check.. If she did not hear back from me the issue would be sent to my local county DA's office.. I have worked in the collection industry for 4 years.. this is a violation of the collections laws.. I will be looking into this.. I have no returned checks.. I still have the message on my cell phone...

I received a voicemail from these people today.  I work for a law firm, and I know a bit about Texas collections statutes.  I'm going to check into this and try to follow it through and report back on this forum with my findings.  
Is there anyone who has received a call from this number how does not live in Texas?

I've received threatening phone calls from this phone #.  Mrs. Peet(?) x3441.  I live in California.  She stated that she is calling from the Law Offices of Jacqueline Bostic.

Received a message from a John ext. 3451 indicating if I don't return a call within 24 hours, there would be terrible results.  I live in CA, and hope that these reports get forwarded to appropriate authorities for threatening telephone calls.  It is illegal to threaten legal action if none is being taken.

I have been getting harrassing phone calls at work for a debt that I have previously paid with another collector (at the time I didn't agree with the debt). I don't remember the transaction details and nobody will send me any paperwork.

I live in Washington state.
I forgot to mention, her name was Lynda Moore # 1-877-498-5600 ext 3445. She threatened that she was going to turn the matter over to the district attorney as a "Hot Check" and that there was going to be a felony warrant for my arrest. She said they would come to my house or place of employment to arrest me unless I made arrangements to pay.

You are confused.  We are in Texas.  We buy debt and don't have to be registered in Oregon.  Do your research before you make yourself look stupid!

they called me today and said that there was a lawsuit pending and they had my social security number.
i called back and only an answer machine.
they had my SS# shouldn't i be concerned??? HELP with an answer please!
