I got about a dozen calls from this number during the course of a day but no message was left.  I called the number back and the woman in the recording sounded like she was saying "Degree Counseling" or something to that effect.  The recording wasn't the best sound quality.  The recording did give an option to opt out of receiving any further contact, but we'll see how that goes.

me too! I have called them, pressed one to have my number removed 3 days ago, and by now I have had 26 calls, with no message left. I called a few minutes ago, and pressed two to speak with someone. I could hear it was a call center, and the person on the other end said she would remove my number...again.
I am on the Do Not Call List.

This number 877-500-2895 keeps calling...no message left...can't get anyone when I return the call....just sick of it. What can I do to get these people to leave me alone?

They keep calling especially late or really early in the morning.

I received a call from this number at exactly 8:00 am this morning.  I called back and the recordeing said "Degree Counsling".  I guess I was getting these calls because I registered on a website for college scholorships.  According to the message my number will be removed in 24- 48 hours.  We'll see.

Did any of you sign up for a free scholarship or to win a contest recently?  Your number was given out to schools and a call center tries to reach you in order to set up a call conference with a University.

Yes ,I am going back to college so that would be why i am getting this call also.

I just signed up to go back to school, and all of a sudden I start to get phone calls.  And e-mails from all kinds of places like degree counseling. So for right now I'm going to let it be, write them all down and when it comes time.  See how much the school offers me to go back to school.

Yes, when I called the number, the recording greets as 'degree counseling'. I pressed 1 to have my number removed from their list. The message confirms that this is done and may take up to 24-48 hours to process. I recently applied to various scholarships as well. I currently attend a university and although the centers may be helpful, they ought not to call students continuously throughout the day. Additionally, there needs to be a box with the option up front to state that the student is on the national do not call list and phone numbers should be used to communicate regarding scholarship status only! Some of us are waiting for important calls such as interview announcements for permanent employment. Alright, I am off the soapbox for now.

this company called my number on 6/30/2010, at around 5pm, I answered the phone and no one spoke, i called back and spoke to someone. i asked to have my number removed. the woman on the phone said they would remove my information. they said they got my information through an inquary ( which i never put in for anything while online about looking to further my education), the woman was also rude on the phone and would avoid answering questions. then on 7/01/2010, at 8 am i recieved another call but wasnt able to pick up. so i called back and didnt get anyone on the phone. one minute later they called me back, i answered and told the woman on the phone that i asked to have my number removed the previous day and did not want to be contacted, i asked if she could remove it and the woman kept avoiding what i was saying. i asked to speak to a supervisor or a manage and the woman refused and said she would remove my information. i asked if i wouldn't be getting another call tomorrow, the woman said yes, so i asked "yes i will be getting a call or yes i wont be recieving anymore calls" the woman hung up. 5pm same day i got a call from a man named carlos from the same number same company, and i told him i already spoke to someone today and yesterday to have my number removed and why am i being contacted again in the same day, i also said to him that this is harrassment and the man then hung up.
i really hope they do not contact me again.

constant phone calls from this number. Have told numerous times to stop calling. Continues to call. Opted 1 for removal, but still calls.

I have been receiving calls from this number multiple times over the last 24hours from 7/30/10-7/31/10. No one answers and no messages are left.
