thanks for the info on how to call back citibank 877-507-2031 and have your number placed on their own DO NOT CALL list.  i did it and it does work.  says it can take up to 30 days to be removed (that's odd -- modern technology cannot have it removed instantly?).  to repeat what ratman wrote above:  (1) call the number (2) after the automated message, it will prompt you to press 1 to continue -- press 1  (3) enter your phone number when prompted  (4) after the message, which asks if you would like to be placed on their DO NOT CALL list, press 1.

It worked for me. I placed my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST at CITIBANK.
But one thing I do not understand, why don't they speak when we answer??

Thank you for the information.  I have a Citi card....they want me to buy the protection.  I did as you suggested in your post, but everyone should know that it can take up to 30 days before your name appears on their do not call list.

I did so after saying and spelling every single little letter for the machine bad thing is the computer said it would take 30 days to process.

Thanks, I did this but now it asks you to add your name, address, phone number and it will take 30 days to remove my name. But so far, no calls! yay! Thanks.
