I got a call today from Continental Law Firm claiming they were trying to collect an unpaid debt from a US Bank loan from April 2008.

A) I've never had a loan from US Bank.
B) They tried to get me to confirm my street address & social security number.
C) They also called my mother on her brand new home line saying I put her as a reference back in 2008. Even though she hasn't had that phone number longer than a month or two.

Be careful! I called a lawyer friend of mine, and he says its a scam. They even tried to scare me by saying it was a felony.

Same call as above message from 877-518-6941. They left message on machine saying they had a warrant for a family members arrest and it was important that a call was returned to them. Haven't seen this family member in over 26 years and not really blood family. Also located 800 miles away and this family member's address is easy to find in searching the internet. How can these scammers get away with this!

My dad got a call from this number.They also called other relative of mines, but they don't answer to unknown numbers and neither do I.The company stated that I used his deceased step daughter as a reference on a pay day loan.I was confused, because I know I didn't.I got a pay day loan several years ago.That was unpaid.How this company knew about it I was unsure.So I assumed they were real because they knew about it.They told my dad I wrote a hot check and some other stuff.After paying these people all my money.Just so they could stop calling my dad I realized that things didn't seemed right.I asked this company to send me a email with a receipt.They never sented it.I called them they won't even respond or send me a receipt saying what I paid off and how much I paid off.The situation has really depressed me.I can't believe I was dumb enough to give these people all the money I had.I now understand that if it was a problem with the pay day loan I had they would have contacted me years ago.Everybody please beware of these people they are hurtful and mean.That scam me out of everything.How they found out all my information I don't know and it scary how they know so much.
