It's a total scam. they won't tell you why they call and they want you to reveal as much info as possible.

Jason Johnson collector for HSBC Bank. Typical collector total @ss. I think Happy man is Jason Johnson. Threatened lawsuit if he didn't hear back.

I think I received  a similar call from this person. A month after my check was being garnished.
What can I do?

how do we know that it is HSBC Bank they told me they bought my account from them and i now owe them and wants all my info and that jason johnson is a total [***] he had info about me that no one would even know.

Imagine that, on a reverse look up, this is what I found.  Mr Johnson called me about one of my neighbors!!  Duechebag.  Called from unknown number as well!

This Johnson guy called my 90 year old neighbor. This isn't even about me! I let a relative live in my house and had to evict my relative. That was 3 years ago! We have the same last name so maybe that's why they are skip tracing my neighbours. I don't think that is legal so I'm calling my district attorney to see if I can file a complaint. I did call and Johnson claims he never called my neighbour. Ashole loser liar!

Jason Johnson is from HSBC.  TYPICAL collector his code name Happy Man.  Just have fun with him.  If u are having a bad day call him and rip him a new one you will feel much better.  He always answers.   He calls me everyday and the person he wants does not live here.  He really is a turd.

I received a call from this number today. I did not answer it b/c I have been bombarded by charities and political calls for months.

I work from home and don't have time to get engaged in some sales pitch.

I am concerned that it might be a collections agency. I don't know of any that I would be reported to but I have been getting calls from these type agencies about a person who I have never met nor know that gave them my phone number as a contact. I told them the last time this person has never lived at this address nor ever had this phone number as I have had it for about 16 yrs and my house was newly built in a new subdivision and we were the only ones to live at this address.

Collections Agencies scare me. I have always maintained Good credit. I don't want anyone garnishing my wages.

This a collection company working for HSBC... They are rude and will only issue threats...They use the name Calgary.....

How weird.  It seems everyone with this company has the last name of Johnson.  Just got a call for a friend I've known for 13 years.  Lady said her name was Anna Johnson.  Hmmmmm.  I'm a collector myself and when I asked if there was a reference number for the message she hesitated and said "uh No".  Guess I threw her off her game.  Lol.  Just tell any bill collector to cease and desist when calling.  Under the FDCPA they can take a verbal request for no calls.  If they don't file a complaint with the CFPB.  Also if they use a dialer to call your cell phone even manually they are in violation of the TCPA and those fines are $500 - $1500 each.  Also if they are using an alias ask them if they are licensed under that name in Minnesota.  If not you got them there to.  Then ask who their licensed manager is for your state and license #.  They have to provide it and if they are not licensed in your state file a complaint.  Hope I made your day :-)

Jason called asking for my husband - on my cell phone.  When I asked him where he was calling from he said 'St Paul MN'.  I said, no.....what company.  His response was he could only reveal that information to my husband or his spouse.  I am his spouse.........then he launched into he couldn't reveal where he was calling from due to laws in my state.  I work for a major financial institution so I know this is pure BS.  I advised him that if he can't tell me where he is calling from not to call my number again.  If this is HSBC, we don't have any accounts with HSBC.

They keep calling for a Kim that doesn't even live here.  They call every day looking for someone that doesn't even live here.  I tell them every time that they call the same thing, "Kim doesn't live here.  I am getting tired of telling the same thing everytime.
