I received a cal from this number and a heavy accented male told me that they got signals that 6 computers were added to my network yesterday. He tried to talk to me and I tried to insult him, but he stayed focused on his mission - to steal my information. If they keep calling, business must be good. Some people, especially young and seniors, don't understand their intent and fall for the scam.

As the previous victims have stated, this is a TOTAL SCAM. Someone in India or the Philippines or somewhere else in the impoverished world bought a list with our names on it and they are looking to get access to sensitive internet access info and personal data in the guise of "fixing the problem" that someone has hacked our network or whatever. If they call, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. They are protected from the "do not call" list because they are outside the US boundaries. They have hit me up about 20 times now. One brazen scumbag literally told me "No, I am not removing your number from our list" and he hung up on ME.

Same number called me.  It was "Mike Donald from fix by geek" with an accent.  He used an obsolete email address that I had and said 5 devices were added to my network yesterday and it could cause big trouble. He said they work with Microsoft who detected it but Microsoft is too busy to call users so they are calling on behalf of Microsoft.  Wanted me to logon to my PC  so they would guide me though the process of resolution.   It sounded like a boiler room operation with many voices in the background.  I said I was not at my PC.  He said call back anytime at 877-521-2139 and ask for him by name. It's  an obvious scam.

called today saying too many devices on our server. Wanted me to go to my computer and hit window key and R. I asked to verify who they are and he hung up. Message when you call back says, "The person at ext 3104 is on the phone, try again later."

I keep getting these calls from this number, mostly just went to voice mail where no message was left.  I answered today and was told exactly the same things that others have reported here, including that I am on the Do Not Call list and that I wanted them to remove my number.  Mine wasn't so brazen as to tell me that he wouldn't remove my number but he then went into the spiel about me logging into my network to see the many computers connected to my network.  At that point, I just hung up.

Same type of phone call. Thick accent but said his name was Jack Thomas, 877-521-2139. I pulled up my system as he asked and he said that there were seven additional people logged onto my internet. He asked how many devices that we had connected. Since he had my name, email, a difficult to understand accent, and said he was contracted to help with my software, I did as he asked. When he could not tell me my computer type, location, or why changing my password wouldn't help, I figured he was not legitimate. I asked him what he was selling but he said that he was just trying to help protect my computer. He finally hung up without a word. Wasted my time.

Caller claimed to be from Fixed By Tech and claimed they were my support vendor. He claimed I had several laptops, printers, cell phones, connected via a specific email address. He was going to guide me to check for these connected devices then he would help by connecting to my computer. I called BS on some of the stuff and made it clear that he would not be connecting to my computer. The call ended shortly after that. You'd think folks with skills in either IT or persuasion could get honest work maintaining computers or sales of legitimate products and services. Sad situation.

The caller - a man with a very thick accent who said his name is Jack Thomas - claimed to be from Netflix Tech Security. "Jack" said that there was unusual activity on my account. Specifically that seven new devices were connected to Netflix yesterday. Jack wanted me to go into the network settings of my computer at which point my BS detector went off and said I would call him back. I immediately looked up and called Netflix's customer support number at which point they confirmed my suspicions. Netflix would never contact me by phone. It was further confirmed that there was no unusual activity on my account. I gave this phone number to Netflix and I hope they are able to hunt down these scammers.

If you get a call from this number don't trust a word they say. Warn others you know not to trust anyone from this number. Never trust anyone who calls you unsolicited.

I answered Hello, they hung up.  I have been getting calls from people trying to tell me there is something wrong with my internet and one call said as she read from a script, she was from Washington DC Treasury.
