POTENTIAL SCAMMER in my opinion.  This phone number (877-522-7559) was provided in a separate NON-CLOSABLE window that opened when I contacted a website on "chalk fonts."  The window had Microsoft Essentials references along with dire warnings that my system was contaminated with several SEVERE THREAT viruses.  The non-closable window was in front of but could be moved out of the way of another window that looked like a Microsoft Essentials compilation of varying threat level viruses.  This phone number was listed as the one you should call for assistance.  I called it to see who was there and a man answered saying he was a computer specialist that could help me.  No reference to Microsoft Essentials!I hung up.

Exactly the same experience as you. I am in the process of trying to scan and remove the unclosable window. I Also hung up on the Tech who was fishing for data.

Shut down your computer and contact a qualified bricks-and-mortar IT specialist for assistance. Your computer may be infected with ransomware.

Same "company" Premier solutions aka "Microsoft support" somehow got ahold of my credit card info and tried charging $99.00. Bank caught it and it was declined but had to close account. Spoke with someone who actually works at Microsoft support and they verified that is a bogus company. Do NOT call if that number pops up on your computer!

I was searching for a number to AT&T and this number popped up in my search. I called it and the guy said that he was with AT&T technical support and could help with my internet issue. I told him what was wrong and he said that someone was trying to hack into our internet server and that he needed control of my computer to fix the problem, I had to do this before when my HP printer went off line, so I did not think anything about it. I gave him control and he pulled up a box to show me where someone was trying to hack into our server, he told me that I needed to download some security software from Microsoft. He put me on hold and told me that he had Microsoft on the other line and as soon as I put in my payment info, they would start the download. Since I know very little about computer and internet issues, I texted my husband while I was talking to the guy. I relayed everything he was telling me to my husband, he was skeptical, but the guy had me so freaked out that I convinced my husband that we had to do this. I typed in my card info and the download started, about 30 min later my husband called and told me to shut the internet down immediately and that it was a scam. Fortunately, the guy was not able to run my credit card and the card company cancelled my card. If he had succeeded, it would have cost us $350. The man that I spoke to, said that his name was Paul Williams. He also said that when we got our credit card statement it would be under the name Buzzing Technologies Inc. Hope this is helpful.
