HomeAdvisor.com.  They only call registered users of the website who have hired a contractor.  Not scam.

did you post a review (good or bad) about a company on the Homeadvisor.com website? I am thinking you did. If you check the email address you used, you will see the call is their way of confirming the review.

Not true. I have NEVER contacted Home Advisor in all my many, many years. The original call to my mobile came from 303-963-8743 in which the voicemail gave  an 877 number to call back for comments on a service. Like I said, I have never contacted them.

Contacted by another number from Jonestown, PA to call this number.  The reason is because a contractor left me as a reference when the contractor registered with Home Advisor.  Not a scam but a verification call.

I recently received two unwanted calls from this number in two days.

I also received a call from this number asking for feedback on a contractor I used. I verified the number with Home Advisor's website, and in fact, this call was from Home Advisor. However, the Home Advisor phone number that was described in the message was not the same as the origination number. So I would only call back the Home Advisor number in the body of the message.

There is a good chance the number (and name) is being spoofed by scammers.  Also possible, based on earlier posts, that calls are being made no matter if the recipient is on the DNC list or not.
Be very careful what info you provide or confirm to any of these callers.

Called me twice this morning and left messages: "Hello, my name is Jose, I'm calling from Angi's in the ratings and reviews department" saying someone from Rock Construction used me as a reference.  I've never heard of Rock construction and have not had the kind of work done that they mention the call is about.  Has to be Spam or else they have the wrong number, but they had my name and my phone number isn't listed under my name.
