Caller: May I speak to the person responsible for the electric bill?
Us: No
(several repeats)
Us: This is a residential telephone on the do not call list. It is illegal for you to call us. Put us on your do not call list and do not call back.
Caller: No, it is not. Do you work from home?
Us: (repeat about the do not call list)
Caller: It is not illegal. Did you not hear my question -- is this (here he named us) working from home?
(several repeats of this exchange)
Us: Give me your name and company
Caller: (repeats the did you not hear me bit, refused identification)
(eventually hung up)

- EdThis "number" called my parents five times in two days. He either said he's from PECO (local electric company) or can lower PECO rates to 9 cents / kwh. (PECO's rates are already lower.) Requested to have personal information faxed to him. Fortunately, my parents know nothing about faxing.. I told them "if he calls again, just say to send information in the mail and hang up. It's a SALES CALL -- you don't have to be courteous to someone who is asking for your money. For every person they switch to their electricity supplier, they get a percentage. They sit at a desk all day with a list of phone numbers -- if someone answers, they try to change their electricity supplier. If someone hangs up or they get an answering machine, they go on to the next number. You don't have to be poilite and have a conversation with them!"

- Steve R. NYCPeople: Program it in your phone. Explanation coming up. I love 800 notes because it gives me a little control over the Scammers. I just got a call from this number and no one was there. I Hung Up. I went right to this website and sure enough it is/ was a scam. I go to my phones address book and program it as a specific scam. This one says "electric bill scam" as the Person/ Company. I am up to 59 "Google placement" scams programmed in the phone. I will never answer those scams when I see them come up on my screen. Google has never hired a single person on the face of the earth to help people improve their ranking on Google. I have bank/ loan scams. A new one is IRS scam. It says Federal Treasury on the caller ID. Wow what a load of baloney.
- Grey ColonelNeither answer calls from 877-528-1449 nor return them! The caller is part of an advance invasion team of recently arrived aliens who have taken up residence in the abandoned coal mines of Tennessee. Working with US Government researchers at Oak Ridge they are using millions of phone calls to generate pulse energy that they then focus into a weapon that can be used against enemy alien races who have been living in a super cooled chasm between the earth's core and mantle. There is no evidence that the subterraneans living near the core mean us any harm. They have been here a very long time and the evidence we do have about them in Mayan, Egyptian and Siberian civilizations suggests that they prefer not to interfere with doings on the surface. Why the new alien arrivals want them dead is also unclear. The war between these races is fought interdimensionally, so, for 3-D 'ers like ourselves, the lethality of the weapons used is quite low. NEVERTHELESS, DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! WE DO NOT WANT TO FOLLOW OUR FOOLISH GOVERNMENT BY AIDING ONE SIDE AGAINST THE OTHER.
- RJLeft no message. I have blocked the number.

- JenThis is the 3rd time in 2 days this hard-to-understand foreign guy has called asking for the person who pays the electric bill and I have had it! Told him to take our number off his list and to never call here again. He said "I cannot do that" then he started talking over me, demanding he be transferred. Clearly this is a scamming call to get me to switch electric suppliers but we are not interested. Never will we be interested. It is unfathomable the amount of time I waste on these scam calls every day.

- vilhrd877-528-1449 calls constantly sick of them added to do not call list
- Always busyCalls frequently on home phone, never leaves a message. Called today on cell. Only a few people have my cell number so set it up to reject. Don't have that service on home line but I have numerous distinctive rings so set up to be "no ring"
- Caller: Anonymous
- DesireeCalled to ask for the person in charge of the electric bill and said that they wanted to speak about new rates.
- marielleThe guy that called and asked to speak to the person in charge of the electric bill is the same guy that has been calling me for over a year, almost weekly, about a sweeps stake prize that I won for 5 million $. All I have to do is pay $500 up
front to collect. I have sworn at him, yelled , screamed, even used a fog horn blast into the phone. (That finally did it).
Now I hear the same voice, asking for the person in charge of the electric bill. I guess he got tired of being hung up on by suspecting people and got a different job.If I report the phone no to the phone company, they just use a different no.
The phone companies should charge $500 a month for eh toll free no. you want to have. Maybe that would cut into their
profit too much to bother. ????- Caller: No name
