Another call from FDR (Federal Debt Recovery) on behalf of the CIBC.  

They called using two different other 1-800 numbers and now have switched to this one.  Have added them to my call block numbers...  but it is beyond annoying that these calls continue and there is no way to make them stop calling.

I have never dealt with the CIBC and if they are looking for the person who had my phone number before - I have had this number for 9 years now.

Steve is right, it is Financial Debt Recovery calling (not Federal)....  they must have switched numbers and are now harassing people using this number.  Steve, did it say something about an offer from a Mr. [***]?  lol

They have called me 4 times in the last hour! Wont answer! I have learned the hard way to look up these weird #'s 1st...that said with Many Thanks to you all for sharing!!:)

Financial Debt Recovery (FDR) collecting debts fraudulently. The also spoof call.  That is causing any number to show up on your call display.

855 531-0067.
888 214-2841.
800 763-3328.
877 548-8444.  more recent.

I'm getting calls from these guys, too, recently it's been the 877-548-8444.  I never answer. I owe CIBC nothing, and I haven't owed them a credit card payment in years.  I've put them on my blocked list, whether it does any good or not.  Bottom line:  Don't answer!!

They call me every morning I owe no one any money at all.... wtf.

I work reception for a business and this number calls us twice per day, every day.  I answer the phone each time they call to hear a pre-recorded message.  Having identified this message as spam, I hang up, and hope they will stop calling.  They don't and it is starting to interfere with my work.

I've called previously and left a message letting them know that the reference number they are calling about pertains to a business, and to remove our number from their call list.  This did not work.

As the calls have continued I phoned back today and spoke with someone.  They said they were unable to find a record of our company number or the reference number they gave me in their system.  Their advice?  If we keep calling, give us a call back and we'll remove you.

HOW!?!   Please stop calling... it's impossible to get work done when you're consistently pulled away by spam callers.

Fraudulent Dumb Rude (FDR). Block the call, don't answer. Never ever call them back. Never speak to them. The call are sent out mostly by Robot call system.  They hope you get frustrated or intimidated and give in to their demands for money.  Don't give them any money.  The government should clamp down on them.

OMG This 1 877- 753-1083  Keep Harassing my JOB !!! Please help They wont stop calling and they have my home address Saying I took out a Loan and demand I pay them 500 AND that NOT TRUE!!! How to I stop them before I loose my Job Over This!!!

They call me threaten to come to my house and job when I don't owe anything to anyone

Please check out Amazon's list of 'Call Blockers'. These amazing machines are worth their weight in gold since they allow you to block up to 1200 numbers. They can try all they want but the phone won't even ring once they're blocked. You must have call display in order for call blockers to work but it's worth the peace and quiet that you get.

I received a letter and made the mistake of calling these on my phone.  Now they are calling me asking my for my information.  I said, "no because I have no dealings with CIBC."  She asked "Not in 2008."  I said, "No".  She said, "Can I have your full name so I can discuss more."  I said, "No, because this is fraudulent."  and I hung up.  They are fraud.  They have no influence over your credit and are just bullies.  Nothing more.
