I suspect this is a collector. They called my brother to harass him about something to do with me. The woman refers to herself as Caroline Drinkwater and she claims to be a lawyer. Earlier it was a man, different name and business name, same phone number. I have no outstanding debts, and when I call them back they won't answer any of my questions unless I give them a lot of personal information first.

No legitimate outfit calls your brother. These people deserve to be slapped down, hard.

These idiots have nothing better to do than to try and take good peoples money. i think jail is to good for them they deserve HELL. If you receive a call from this number, don't answer any of their questions. Just tell them to "F*** AND GO TO HELL!!!". Also you can list your number in the do no call registry by going to www.donotcall.gov (FREE) to stop receiving calls from telemarketers and A$$HOLES like these.

They called me and asked me a/b my brother-in-law and his EX-WIFE of 12 YEARS!!!!  They said it was for a reference but I suspect it was a collection agency. The woman had a mad eup name and was VERY RUDE!!! They kept pressing me for personal details and then hung up on me!

This company has called my husband and I several times about our brother-in-law.  they have also called my SEVEN year old son's cell phone, but we didn't answer.  They asked me several personal questions and told me that they were looking for a reference for him.  When I asked what it was all about, they wouldn't give me details just said that it was a serious personal matter. After I refused to give them his number, they started asking questions about his long time ex-wife and about one of our old high school friends.  Weird?!?!

There is no listing for a vision asset management group in niagara falls, ny... like they are claiming. If they were ligit, they would be listed and go by a name that you can pull up on the internet. Caroline Drinkwater is such a made up name and they want you to pay 2 times anything you really owed. Harass all you want, but I know the law and they have to provide you with proof that they have your debt. Tell them to bug off til they can give you every proof of the debt and that further harassament can result them having a lawsuit...just b/c they call, doens't mean they can harass or call people not really assoicated with you.

Received a call from "Ms. Tibbins" w/Vision Assets at this number.  They allege that I took out a Holiday Payday Loan in July 2002.  I explained that I did not, as in 2002 I wasn't working b/c i was in school - how could I take out a payday loan without a payday?  I requested written documentation of this charge and Ms. Tibbins said it had been mailed to me, and offered to email me the documents (have not received either).  She transferred me to her senior manager who pressed me to just pay the amount remaining and resolve the issue today and was very displeased when I said I wanted to look into the matter further.

I suspect a scam and here is why - six months ago I got a call from a similarly named company, insisting that I owed money to Bally Total Fitness for the last month of my gym membership, which expired in 2004 (and was paid then b/c I was on an auto-payment through my credit card).  The amounts are identical.  They claim the initial loan I took out was $86. (why would I take out a loan for this amount?!)  With the Bally's case they claimed my last monthly payment was $86 - my monthly payments were not that much.  Vision claims I now owe $134.67 on this alleged loan.  Random figure right?  Oddly, in the Bally's case, they too claimed I owe $134.67.  Both cases insisted I pay the amount today.  Both used the phrase "If I were you, I would just pay this amount today. It is JUST $134.67."  Both insist this charge is on my credit report; I check this annually, and it is not. When pressed for further details about the original account, both persons said that they were not allowed to give out that information, and could only give me the last four digits of the account number.  When I stated that I firmly believed I did not take out the loan (or still owe Bally's) and asked if there was someone at the respective companies with whom I could discuss the original matter, I was told that no, they no longer had those records, they did not deal with it at all once it was turned over into collections.  Both persons also claimed that the case was being pursued in "a district court" but could not tell me which one.

Further interesting similarity - in both cases, the person had a very ready and easy explanation.  For the Bally's case I was told that often people thought they paid their final bill and really did not.  When I explained that I was on an auto-pay so the charge was auto-debited and I had my card statements to show this, she said that Bally's did not auto-debit the last payment and this was a frequent mix up on the consumer's part.  For this Holiday payday loan, I was told that it couldn't possibly be fraud because in order to get a loan you have to have a paystub, give checking account information, have your ssn# and photo id.  I said at that time I neither had a paycheck nor a checking account, and was told that I needed to look into who was in my house at the time and took my information and opened this loan.

I'll be looking into this matter further, but in the meantime wanted to share my story.  If you get a call from this company do your research - this reeks of a scam to me!!

Yep.. got a call from them today.. I screen calls, so I let the voice mail do its Job. Checked it later and some Lady by the name of "Liz Ard" (get it) said some claim came across Her desk. Hum! Spoke so fast that I couldn't understand the rest of Her message. So, I figure, that if some one wants to contact You, and it's about an urgent matter, that they would specify so and give You enough information to want to call back, because it's important for You to do so. Well, Screw that! Ain't gonna call back not now nor never. Let'em persue court action. I'll let my Lawyer deal with it. [***]! Besides, my credit is already in the tank, I don't care anymore. The Federal Govt is already giving our Social Security money away to the Banks in bail-out funds. Why should we pay them twice?

I tried to call ... I was going to give a fictitious name and information .. completely made up.

If they then magically have a "file" where "I" owe a debt or a payday loan then i would know they were scammers.

But alas ... they are closed... will try again tommorrow.

Received a call from a Bob Carson from Legal Vision. He called not only my husbands office, but my cell, my parents house (havent lived there in 15 years), and my office looking for us.  He then told me that I owed a $4500 on a Orchard Bank Mastercard.  I advised him that we never had an Orchard Bank Mastercard.  He said fine we will just take you to court.  I then remembered that we were harassed by another company, Southern Capital Assoc. in January about a Mastercard.  I asked him if he was from Southern Capital or ever herad of them.  He advised me that they changed named from SC to Legal Vision.  I then informed the caller that on April 24, 2009 I sent a certified letter to Southern Capital and requested a Validation of Debt.  In the letter, endorsed by my lawyer, it advised them they had 30 days to send me info via mail to validate their claims. They never replied.  He said then you are saying that you are not going to pay.  I said that is correct, and I am going to seek legal counsel if its still on my credit report.  He basically said "see you in court".

****bewaredo not pay a debt that the collector cannot prove****

Got a call from my daughter stating that some one called her from this number 1-877-560-3744 asking that I call them or my lawery call them. She made it sound like she worked for Maricopa County in Arizona. I called the Maricopa County office of information and was told that this phone number did not belong to any of their departments. I decided to call the phone number and I got a recording from Vision AssestManagement Group. As far as I know I don't at this time owe anyone a past debt that they would throw me in jail for. From all the above comments I think this is a scam.

Hello everyone, just to let everyone know on this posting, that I think some of you are getting this company confused with a differnt company named Vision Asset.  Every employee name listed on this posting is not even an employee that works for Vision Asset located in Niagara Falls.  Please make sure that you are speaking about the correct company, as postings like this can impact businesses with a similiar name in an unfair way.
