Kelly from IPC called our company and offered us NFL shirts and caps for my kids and employees as well.  She said she was our rep and our warehouse supervisor ordered some supplies from her.  She said she needed a purchase order from me, since Louie had ordered.  I called Louie in the office because all PO's have to be approved before submitting a purchase order.  He said he had no clue who she was and he did not order anything.  Kelly got nervous and said, I will call you later, I have to go now, I will call you later, and she hung up.  We have never done business with this unknown company, which she said she did business with us in the past.  It is IPC, P.O.BOX 668307, Pompano Beach, FL 33066.  Phone# 877-577-9444.

Our company has recieved a couple calls from IPC over the last few months going back to September 2010.  They claimed that our project manager ordered a bunch of safety material & called to confim our address & get a PO number.  We are a large construction company & so I though nothing of it.  After recieving mass quantities of safety materials that we would have never ordered in such excess we started recieving 1 bill per month for about $2500-$3000 dollars.  I called today to question & they said that our PM ordered all supplies & told them to break the bill up into 5 invoices.  We just googled the prices of the supplies listed on the invoices & they are charging 10 times the amount of any other store & even doubled prices & quantities in areas we wouldn't notice.  I found several other complaints online stating the same facts about this company. IPC IS A SCAM!!!  Don't accept any shipments from them unless you have a signed Purchase Order in hand.  Their address is PO Box 668307 Pompano Beach, FL 877-577-9444.  I spoke with a thick eastcoast accented guy named Steve Rogers.  We never ordered this stuff but already paid them $6,000 before catching this error!  Be careful!

Just received a call from them from the phone number 423-271-6328.  I knew their scam because I became involved with a case with the Federal Trade Commission about their bogus business practices.  Please report any crap from them to the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

It is the large company's size that IPC is preying on. I do the purchasing and receiving. Steve Adams called me today to see how much more product we had left. He tossed out a few names of employees here. Then casually talked about the "big game" and how his recent heart attack kept him from visiting. Then reminded me that we still have product left on our back order. He would need to ship it before the contract ran out. I just let him dig a hole. I asked him about which product we were using, and how much was left. He danced around, then threw out some info. I told him I do all of the purchasing and have no outstanding Purchase Orders with his company. Nor do I ever show an order with his company. He just hung up on me. I am sorry to stereotype, but when someone with a thick East Coast accent calls me I am already on my guard. It is always the same thing, "sorry I haven't visited in a while", "I will send out a case for you to try". The magic bullet for me is to refuse the gifts that they offer. As soon as I tell any salesman that I don't accept any gifts, they usually hang up on me right then.

Same thing happened here, I was offered baseball sport tees and hats for my employees, I asked what be had ordered in the past and was given some BS # and amount for red grease. I looked up the company in our purchasing software as well as online. Needless to say it was just another scam attempt by IPC.
Hint to telescammers..... don't have kids crying in the background when trying to scam. Hint 2. do some research on the team roster so you can keep your lies straight.  Hint 3. Never tell me that we talked or met or have have dealing with you/yours if we haven't, I would remember that raspy 30yr old smokers voice if I had heard it before.

They start with a young "college girl" that gets paid for everyone that she gets to respond to her survey.  Then you'll get a gift card, but she needs her manager to confirm that she spoke to you.  Then the manager talks in circles and promises a bunch of promo products and pretty soon is sending you an order for safety/janitorial supplies.  What  a joke.  how can they still be at it since 2010?

These guys are total crooks.  Had over $2,000.00 worth of useless material sent to us when no order was placed.  They originally called and asked if we used certain products and then shipped them with no PO.  $12.00 a can for generic WD40!  I also got the "I just had a heart attack" line, the free sports gear, blah blah blah...Amazing that this still goes on.  Please report them! https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

Crooks indeed!! Talked to office staff and said that their product would be promotional and free of charge as thank you for taking time to field their call. They were supposed to send a rep to the office to discuss pricing on packaging materials. Instead, mailed an invoice two weeks after the last shipment. I don't have caller ID so I can't verify the number but I spoke to "Carol". She asked for one of our employees by name and was told he was out of the office. She asked for his voicemail and I informed her voicemail was broken and that she could leave a message with me. She said she was calling to "thank" our employee and would call again the next morning since she didn't have her cell phone with her and call back number would be useless. She called the next morning. She asked for a different employee. I mentioned that she had requested someone else when she called yesterday and she said that the 1st employee referred her to the 2nd employee. "oh you spoke to employee #1, I asked? "I don't remember" she replied. I asked if she wanted to "thank" employee #2 as well, (reminding her of what she said the day before). She said that she would just mail what she needed them to see and began to try to confirm the mailing address for our business. I told her that no one recognized the name of her company and we would not accept anything from IPC until she could adequately identify her company and her purpose. Carol responded that what she would send wouldn't cost anything. A dead give away right there! I told Carol not to send anything and she hung up. I'm guessing there would have been a shipment of some-thing for which we would ultimately receive an invoice.
Thanks for the thread on these people. It has undoubtedly saved me & my company a great deal of time & trouble. (PS no crying children in background but that tell tale "call center" sound of other voices in the background).

I had a friend who worked there for a very, very short time and left once she caught on to their BS. What they do is......they have one department call ahead of time and ask for the person who is in charge of ordering. That usually gets them past the "Gate Keeper". (Secretary) Who is usually totally unaware of any deceptive practice. Once in a while the secretary will ask which department and the scamsman will then reply, "Oh...what was his name again? You know the gentleman who is responsible for ordering safety equipment and cleaning supplies?" Then they set the hook with the "Free sports shirts or hats". They even claim that they are not in their sales territory at the time, but as soon as they get back they will take the purchaser out for a dinner on "The Bosses" credit card. Even tell them dinner is always better when the boss pays for it. They start small talk by actually using a "teleprompter". On the computer they will have sports pages up in front of them with sports news, stats ect. Needless to say my friend quit them due to their un-ethical behavior. She even confronted them on it and they told her that is what WE DO is LIE. Sales people LIE. She walked out not even looking back, even in this economy. Yes, IPC is a SCAM!!!!

We repeatedly receive phone calls from IPC and when we refuse supplies the telemarketers harrass us and try to make us buy supplies from them. These people even lie and change the company name when they call so we don't know it's them calling. We made the mistake of making a purchase from them and now they won't leave us alone even though we have written letters demanding them to stop contacting us. Their prices are astronomical!!!!!!!!

Out of curiosity:  Did you receive the shirts?  I am new in my position and just accepted an order (stupidly) for some degreaser, which we happen to use.  I am not going to accept the shipment.  Hope that works.

Any idea what will happen if I refuse the shipment?  I just got duped by these guys.

We had the same thing as Maria.  Charles from IPC called and talked to one of our new people (Andy), Charles told him that we had purchased before and I think he promised him NFL stuff for his son, because I could hear the conversation.  Anyways, about a week later safety glasses show up and they have our PO# on them, and a few days later Charles starts his DAILY phone calls to find out when he can expect payment.  We say "never, ever,"  buy from them again, and low and behold we get 2 more deliveries and DAILY phone calls for payment.  If I was in receiving, I never would have let the packages be signed for and would have refused shipment.  What can we do now? can we send the stuff back? Who can we complain too?  They can't keep doing this to people.

what do you think would happen if we let them deliver a lot more stuff and then just don't pay them. You think they'll call the cops. I don't

These guys duped one of our employees into ordering nitrile gloves by the case at a horribly inflated price, shipments to be broken up into batches.  Then the Steve Rogers charater calls saying we received the entire shipment (which we had not) and wanted to know where the payment was - saying we had already received the entire shipment (there are 10 individual boxes in a case, his premise was that constituted 10 cases, not one).  This makes an already horrible price 10 times worse.  They only had proof of delivery for a partial shipment that he was trying to say was the whole thing.  

We are refusing all calls, shipments and invoices from this company.

So yes....this is the biggest scamming company ever.

Call the company,  877-577-9444.

Find anyone to talk to, Customer Service, Operators, Sales......and just ask them, "how is it working for such an unethical company."  It's so fun to see them get all nervous and come up with excuses.  Eventually they do hang up, but keep doing this.  This might be a way to get back at them and get their own employees questioning this company.

Give it a try.....it's pretty fun regardless.

These people didn't even with the PO Number, they shipped a box of safely glasses and while usually we refuse their shipments (this is not the guerrilla sale from these people). It slipped through now I have to try and return it . We have told them repeatedly we do not want to do business with them, yet they ship things anyhow. If you get a call from them just hang up.

Yep, this is ICP.  They keep trying to pull the same thing with me.  I fell for it once when I was new in purchasing and now they won't leave me alone.  I don't know what part of "I don't want your crap" they don't understand.  And like Tara said, they just ship stuff without a PO number.  Hang up on them if they call and instruct your receiving personnel to refuse any of their shipments.  It's all expensive junk.
