- Chelsey| 10 repliesA charge was made to my checking account for $14.95 and being paid to Shopping Essentials. I never heard of them. I've called them and they told me that I've signed up for a membership!! I did not do that. The guy said they will cancel my membership, but I am closing my account with my bank anyways. Someone obviously has my account information.
- Caller: Shopping Essentials
- Jeff replies to Chelsey| 3 repliesThis is a big rip off from vista print. Anyone who has been ordering from vistaprint.com will get ridiculous bills from Business Max (888-584-2217)& Shopping Essentials(877-581-0181). $14.95 a month for each.
Stay away from www.vistaprint.com !!! - TEX replies to JeffWATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!! Thank goodness for American Express covering my back - a refund was posted right away.
My wife signed up for this and then cancelled right away. I even have the cancellation email with the cancel confirm number and the statement "You do not need to do anything else to cancel your membership."
I called "Shopping Esentials" and got no result until I asked for the snail mail address and let them know I was going to create a stink with the BBB and other internet sites.
I was told that they showed a "vista print rewards" cancelation in May but the second automatic membership in "Shopping Esentials" was never canceled. THIS IS A BIG SCAM - AND THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS!!" BEWARE!
NOTE: my amex charge was listed as AP9*shoppingessentia877-581-0181 CT - cd replies to ChelseyI just had the same thing happen and got two charges from vistaprint. I ordered some business cards from them, but never authorized anything else!
- DISGRUNTLED!!! replies to ChelseyME TOO! for $17.95. I placed a Christmas card order with vistaprint over two years ago. A year ago when I noticed they were taking monthly fees from me, they said I'd created an account. NO! I opted for the free demo cards w/o a subscription. Now again, two years later, they're swindling money. STAY AWAY FROM VISTAPRINT.
- April Neal Nava replies to ChelseyI am having the exact same problem. I have to go to the bank Monday to deal with it.
April - GEORGIA| 1 replyI HAVE ORDERED WITH THEM AS WELL ONLY TO NOTICE SEVERAL $14.95 CHARGES EACH MONTH ON MY CREDIT CARD. tHEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS FOR DOING THIS.

14.95$ in two days! report these people to your Consumer Protection department at the attorney general's office. - This is insane. replies to GEORGIAThey charged me 3 charges of $14.95.
We should file a class action again vistaprint - Alfie replies to ChelseyI can't believe this is really going on! $14.95 a month for the last 3 months. Very upset that I found out about this on a Sunday. I have to wait to handle this. Will post later with resolution process.
- Mike| 5 repliesI also received two billings on my credit card statement. One was from the 1-800-961-2075 number, another was from 877-581-0181. Both charges were for $14.95. I had placed two vista print "free card" orders and did my very best to NOT sign up for these programs - but apparently I failed somehow. Anyway, I called Vista Print and talked to a service rep named Brian. Brian contacted the companies and told me as of today (7/29/08) that they will refund the charges. We'll see what happens!

- Mike replies to Mike| 2 repliesIn all fairness, I called VistaPrint's customer service number, explained the situation, and a few days later the charges to my credit card were reversed. It was unpleasant and frightening to have to think about the work that might be involved in taking care of this, and I am left to wonder if they will charge again, and I did warn about 30 of my friends about this, which may have dimmed their enthusiasm for vistaprint. But for now, it seems like things are taken care of.
- elm replies to OnI had just found out that 14.95 was taken out of my checking and I have not even used my card. Now a year ago I ordered something from vista prints but I never joined nothing. I called the bank right away and canceled my card and trying to get my money back.
- us replies to Mike| 1 replyno...not fixed.
my wife ordered the "free" cards in July.
an occured 1 charge 14.95 in august...
and 2 charges in september.
CC company refunded and canceled account.
vistaprint is crooked.
it's a shame that they're allowed the loophole to even get away with it. - Geraldine replies to ChelseyI had the same issue ... $14.95 on my credit card ... once for Shopping Essentials and one for some other bogus charge. Unbelievable really. I called and they said they would cancel my membership ... even though I never signed up for any membership. If you see these kinds of charges, call ASAP.
- pierceitI called 800-566-8489 and spoke with a guy named Nigel #6443. I told him about all the unhappy people and brought up lawsuits. He asked me to hold, came back and said to check my account in a couple of days, all charges had been refunded. I'll check in a couple of days to see if it were true, otherwise I'll be calling back.
- pierceitI forgot to add this part...When I first brought up the charges, Nigel(he is with AP9*PASSPORTTOFUN+-V)
said that I signed up for something just by clicking on an ad. I told him that was ridiculous. He had my information, but I told him that i signed up on Vista Print to get free cards, but never signed up for any monthly membership. He said that Vista Print is a client of theirs, so when I brought up their affiliation with Vista and what could happen during the lawsuit, they dropped the charges. Seems to me like they are both crooked companies, and I can't see myself doing business with Vista Print any longer. - Brit replies to ChelseyI found a similar charge on this month's credit card bill; after checking old credit card bills I found I was being charged for the past 7 months for something I never consented to. Upon contacting the company they informed me that they can cancel my account but will not refund the charges from the past 6 months. I am livid. They said I clicked on something that automatically enrolled me. I cancelled the account and cancelled the credit card. The credit card also said they can do nothing about the past charges. Now I'm leery to purchase ANYTHING online with a credit card...and I'll also be checking statements more closely.
