A guy by the name of Carter Jones called from this number saying that he wanted me to verify a file that had recently come accross his desk. Possible Scammer!! BEWARE.

Same Guy Carter Jones said it was important to call him right away about a file poss bill collector?

me too....when I call the number back....got some sort of asset management firm...prelude said they were collecting garnishment $$ and I could pay my bill in full.....was put on hold for 20 mins.   then told "googbye" by the system and disconnected......geez....

this caller said it was ugent that I return his call....he had been trying to reach me and I had not responded...it was concerning a file that had crossed his desk......when I return the call to this number that he left...I was put on hold for 20 minutes then the system said goodbye and disconnected...his name was Carter Jones.....seems that there are multiple complaints about Mr. Jones.

the recorded message I received when I returned the call they were collecting a wage garnishment.....never had anything like that.....

I received a call from this company as well.  My impression is that it is a debt collection agency. I changed home phone numbers about six months ago and apparently I inherited a phone number that previously belonged to some deadbeat losers. So, I often get calls from alleged debt collection agencies. I don't know if the person (female) calling me was a scammer or not, but I was sure to let her know to NEVER call me again!

I got the same call with the same message but this time the guy said his name was Ron Kennedy, dont know why they would call me, but i dont return anyones call who would call me using a 877 number that dosent have the business' identity attached to it.

Somehow these jerks got a hold of my emergency cell phone number. A female saying that something had landed on her desk... same spiele! Regent Company was the name..... erking me!

Also received a phone call from Carter Jones today. Previously it was Ron Kennedy with the same type of message about a file that crossed his desk and that we need to call back to verify it. They keep calling my house and leaving the same message week after week after week. I don't want to call the number back after reading all these messages posted here.

I've received 3 calls now from "Carter Jones" who left me messages exactly as you describe below.  One call was extremely early in the morning and woke up everyone in my household.  I simply hate these computer generated messages.  I went through this several months ago.  I certainly wish we could stop these kinds of phone calls.

Anyone know the number (or code) to block unwanted telephone #'s? This might solve the "Carter Jones" problem- at least temporarily. I know this dink calls and wakes me up every morning and calls as I'm falling asleep- jerk!

yes,  i received the same message from carter jones on 6/3/10 saying he's been trying to contact me and it is urgent that i call him back immediately.  i am sure it is some sort of scam.  i did not call him back.   thanks for everyone's input.

I just got a call from this number like 15 minutes ago today and decided to do a search on it after I hit *69 to see who last called as I don't have caller ID and it gave me this number..Thanks!

I just got the same phone call as the others.  It was urgent and his name was Carter Jones.  No business name.  If it were a legit business they would have given the business name.  He had a file come across his desk and it was urgent that he speak with me.  I don't have any outstanding debts so I'm thinking scam.

Same thing...Ron Kennedy just this morning - This machine calls all of the time!!!

Spoke with Austin. This is supposedly Regent Asset Management Solutions. It is a debt collection agency. Tried to collect a debt from a family member. Gave their address as Kansas. The letter they had sent was from a law office in California and was mailed from Las Vegas, Nevada.  Stranger and stranger yet.

I just got a call from them this morning. A guy named Derek said that I owe 223.18 on an account that I closed 2 years ago due to fraud. I explained this to him and called my old bank and they said I didn't owe them anything. So I called back to Regent Asset Management Solutions and was hung up on 3 times and finally spoke with a lady and she was rude when I told her my story etc.. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He got on the phone and told me my account had been noted as a refusal to pay and they would be taking me to court. I tried to explain my situation and that I had proof of the fraud to my old account etc.. and he said its not my problem and hung up the phone.

What should I do? My old bank says nothing is owed and this company is saying I do owe somethign and they want me to make a payment or set up a payment plan etc... Sounds VERY weird!!

Got two calls recently with a recording saying he is Carter Jones and he needs to check something in my file.  Don't these people have a life?
