series of calls occurring approx 7:45 PM ET

this company called looking for my son saying that they are an attorneys office refused any infomation..  when i called the number back it sounded like a collection company..

Everytime I pick up, they hang up on me.  My debt is under control so they're messing with the wrong person...

called my 14 year old daughter's cell phone, posing as an lawyer, left message stating that collection proceeding could start, when I called they wouldn't give any info unless I provided them with my daughter's phone #

Calls me every now and then and leaves a message saying they are looking for my husband (they state his full name) and that they have very important information regarding him and to call back at this number. However, the number they call me from is a number with an albany area code (518). If I answer their calls they hang. Voicemail is always one of those robot voices.

Called them at the original number which appears when they call which is 518-689-3586. Got the same robot voice saying they are with paymentoffer.com I go to the website which is sketchy in and of itself and it says that they are in Kansas and lists yet another number. Finally, a guy answers and I questioned him about everything to which he replied with a bunch of "uuuuuhhhh....ummmmm"s and said that they have different locations but they all come back to the same number. Right. I asked him what the kansas main number was but he didnt know. He then asked for my mother-in-law by name and told me to tell her to call the 877 number. Overall, very sketchy.

Keep getting voice messages from a woman named Mrs. Lambert who is looking for "######" (It's impossible to hear the name she is saying. She says she has very important information for "######" Thank you. Probably a debt collector looking for the person who had my number. I get it about every week but I haven't called back yet because they are looking for the perosn who had my number. I'm afraid if I call back they will track my number. Should I call back?

I frequently receive calls from this number from a Mrs. Lambert who is looking for someone named Peterson.

Yeah I got home and had like 5 messages. They were all the same! A recording of a woman named Mrs. Lambert saying to call her back at 877-591-7022 and that she has important information for a Jamie Martin or something and I called back but it says it's like a REGENT ASSET MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS thing and the line then drops. WHo is this lambert chick anyway?

Recieve a call from MRs. Lambert having an important message. called back and mentioned that I am not the person they are requesting. They tell me wait and say can you repeat that while recorded. I did and they still call my phone for the same deadbeat! Call came in as a new Phone # 716-332-7089.
Report them to the BBB and include all the times they call.

Hi, my name is Mrs. Lambart. If you got a call from me you obviously owe us debt. If you don't just call back and we will take your number off my list. Otherwise John Brady, Celeste, and myself will be coming for you. You can run but you can't hide. Thank you.

Its a scam. They buy debt that has been charged off by the original debt holder, then harass people to pay. They are being investigated by a number of agencies for their illegal and fraudulent methods. When asked to send more information, or original documentation regarding the 'debt' (which they are legally required to do) they get belligerent and make threats. These people are scavengers...

I get a call on my cell and home phone on the average of daily. I sent them a certified DV letter, demanding the itemization of what I "Owe" and how their claimed debt got to be twice as much as the original claimed debt,
It was signed for on 7/19/2010 by "JB". No first or last name. It is now 8/13/2010 and I have yet to receive this response I have requested/
One time the message will be from John Brady.. the next time Jack Brady...
WTF...
Oh and the "letter" I got wasn't signed by anyone.
Doing my best to ignore them but I'm about to change my phone number.
