Leaves voicemail claiming to be someone named "Louis" phishing for information about an acquaintance, but leaves no details.  I recognize the voice from the same phishing scam that has been calling my private work number for about a year.  They keep changing their phone number, so I can't do anything about it.

Hello it's Carl Banksman. Hey a files been assigned to my office that I need to review with you to confirm the location information in it is correct. It's regarding someone you know and there's some conflicting facts in the file but I can't leave details on a answering machine. So you need to contact me to go over this.

Then he left his contact number and let me know to ask for him and we can get this wrapped up.

Yea, I just got a call almost exactly like that.
I answered one of these calls a few days ago and it was just a recording saying the same thing.
Whe the heck are these bozo's?

Got the same call stating that I need to call them re: some information that needed to
be cleared up..  I think is is Imperial Recovery Partners.  They change their number
frequently.   I block their number everytime they call.  I sent a Cease and Desist letter
so hopefully they will leave me alone.  If they are not on your credit report then they have
no right to be bothering you at all.  And if they are then they need to validate your debt.
Don't Give no information to them, but get their information and report them to the
Fair Trade Commission.

This number belongs to Imperial, used to be Regent asset management. I offered to pay the origonal balance of $700.00 and they tried to screw me out of over $2000.00 in alleged interest. I informed him that it was past the 5 year limit to collect on this debt/ open account anyway and he threatened me with legal action and then hung up on me. Do not respond except in writing and then turn them in for mail fraud.

The guy claimed to have some information i may not know about and it would be in my best interest to call him back... seriosuly?? wow... lol

Hello, this is Mr. Henley, I have some important information ....need to call back by 5 pm today, blah, blah, otherwise we will make a decision without you?  Huh?  I just got the damned phone turned on 3 weeks ago and have had random voicemails left for a variety of people.

An automated message requesting you call back today and if you don't, they "will have to make a decision without your input."

Scammers.

Just do not answer these calls.  If you have Verizon phone service you can block up to 30 numbers using their "My Services.com".

they left a message "This is Mr. Henly, I require a return call...blah blah blah". SCAM!

I received the same message as some others.  The call was from Mr. Henly who required a call back by 5:00 the day that he called or some decisions would be make without my input. He did not indicate who he was trying to reach or provide any other details.  I was afraid it was a phishing scam and did not return the call.

This caller, identifying himself as "Mr Henley," left a voicemail message in a very authoritative voice, saying he "must receive a return phone call by 5:00pm today." He did not provide any information regarding the kind of information he holds, nor whom he represents. Sounds totally bogus. I refuse to call and would like to know who this person is so I can get authorities to investigate. As an elder, I see a threat to others in my age group who might be intimidated enough to make the call and be scammed.

I got the same message today. I figure that if it pertained to me and was in my interest,THEN they would give me more time to reply. Plus, they never stated my name. I figured it was bogus or a scam to get me to call some long distance company scam.

Sounds like "Mr. Henley" is busy today ... just got the same recording.  I agree with Doug, this is a serious issue and leads to elder abuse

Mr. Henley called me too.  This guy has been calling for almost a year.  I have no debt.  It's always the same voice and he goes by Mr. Yardley, Mr. Schwartz, Mr. Bogarth, Terry Freeman and a bunch of other names.  In April 2011, he was Gary Howell (Hollow), Kevin O'Shea, Bogart McNeil and Brutus Cleveland.   Initially, his messages were more "imperative" and "demanded" my attention, then he tried to sound more friendly.  In his last incarnation, he had deepened his voice, trying to do a Texas accent as Bogart (only he forgot to keep it up during the middle of the message).  Mr. Henley is more authoritative and all business.  

Mr. Henley  "requires" my call too.  He basically uses the same script every time with a few variations. As Brutus he said:

"Hello, this is Brutus Cleveland. I'm contacting you because I still have a file in my office that I need to verify some location information on. It's regarding someone you know and there are some conflicting facts in this file but I cannot leave proprietary information on your voice mail. So it would be best for you to contact my office back so that we can review this together. The number you can reach me at is 877-559-9865.  Now, I'll be available to take your call so you need to ask for Brutus Cleveland and we can get this wrapped up.  Thanks."

I've been ignoring these calls for more than a year. I know they're scams but isn't there any agency that can stop these morons? This is harassment.
