somebody named ron kennedy claims to have a file to verify and claims to have not been able to get a hold of me, that's because he has never called here before

Yes, telemarketing Jerk for sure!  How obnoxious!

I know this is telmarketing.
I have asked to be on telemarketers "do not call" lists before but I'm not sure if I should risk calling the number.  
I'd like to ask to be on their "do not call" list but I don't want them to know that my number is a valid number..... they might sell it or hand it out to other telemarketing jerks.

What do you think?

but I haven't called this one back, not sure I want them to know that my is a valid number

they've always left a message on my voicemail
not sure if that tells them that my phone number is real phone number or not

I'm just going to see if it stops.
If it doesn't then I will call and ask to be on their "do not call list".

Does anyone have any idea who this Ron Kennedy is? He has been continually calling my elderly parents and leaving messages. It is getting to the point of harassment.

Some character named Ron Kennedy keeps calling my elderly parents to the point of harassment. these calls need to stop.

1-877-591-7641 is a bill collection agency called Regent Asset Management.  They call my number to contact someone I have 0 contact with.  The last fella that called here this morning, told me to be a sport and change my number if you didn't like it.

I am contacting my lawyer to file harrassment charges against them and this is not the first time they have called me, no matter what I say to them.

I am getting the same message on my answering machine.  "This is Ron Kennedy and I am calling about a "file" I have."  Does not ask for anyone in particular in the household by name either.  I am not answering or returning the call.  Caller says to call back to 1-877-591-7641.

Ron Kennedy has a file for me too. I must be a lucky man. Maybe that file is stuffed full of gold bullion and small unmarked bills. Unfortunately, the file is marked for someone named "Charles Dandy".

The machine calls daily and has left a message many times.
Anybody friends with a Charles Dandy who owes money to someone in Virginia? Thought not. They have told me copious amounts of information about him through these phone calls, though. Next time they call (if you answer the phone) see how much information is leaked about the person. Perhaps you can learn enough to locate the person on Facebook and poke him/her.

If you are Charles Dandy, try calling these people outright and ask them what they want from you.
That is supposing, of course, that the Charles Dandy mentioned in the call exists.

Yep, same here. We never received this call/message until we moved into our new home. I had a feeling it was a telemarketing scheme when I heard the message (in fact, he just called a few minutes ago!) no names mentioned, no specifics, just this mysterious "file" and to call Ron Kennedy back. We get them at least once a day - some times more. Really annoying!!

I wonder, is it regional, or is it nationwide?

Just received the call on both cell phones but I believe "Ron Kennedy" forgot to hit the correct button on the phone cause the number on BOTH phones reads 1-913-755-9027. So "Ron Kennedy" must be at home making calls-think I will give him a call--SEVERAL times!!

I always get phone calls also from "Ron Kennedy", he actually just called me and I answered.. Don't be surprised though, when you answer he "hangs" up! I want to know who this person is!

I just recieved this same call from Ron Kennedy 877.581.7641.  He left message on my answering machine, he said a file was given to him,  I need to contact him right away.

Is he a lawyer?  Has anyone called him back to see what scheme is?

I just searched this Ron Kennedy's "phone"# on Google because of the insane amount of calls I get from this jack-a**. I thought it was actually something serious because first it was a woman who was leaving the messages to call Ron Kennedy back, but today it was "Ron" himself. So I searched it 1st to see what came up, a lawyer perhaps, a bill collector... I'm glad I came across these comments 'cause now I'm DEFINITELY not calling this jerk back. If it's a bill collector he can send me a bill through the mail! The fact that he never says who he is calling for is a red-flag for sure!

I was getting these calls on my home office phone awhile back, both from Ron and his assistant (messages) - they quit for awhile but have now started back up.  I am fairly certain they are not debt collectors but some kind of scam to give you credit or bank info.  I called the # and the prompts are all how to pay -  How can these guys be found and how can you stop them from calling?

One of my clients received this call and was uncertain who it was.  I called back on her behalf and it was Region Asset Management Solutions(RAMS) collecting a legitimate debt on behalf of US Bank.  This is not a scam and is a debt collection agency so I would encouage folks to call to resolve their debts-the representative was actually extremely helpful.  Always request proof of the debt and never give bank or credit account information over the phone.  Send everything in the mail with documentation.

Okay, I just got a call from 877-591-7641 from a Mr. Parker, who is a live person, and was apparently trying to collect on a debt.  I told him immediately that I wanted all communication to be via mail versus phone, and he responded saying that until I submit a formal letter, that he'd continue calling.  Anyway, hung up on him, and he immediately called back with the caller ID registering as '282.'  He left a voice message asking me to call back to settle the matter, but wasn't rude about it.

Most likely this is a true debt collection agency, but that doesn't make them reputable or trust worthy, especially when they are using deceptive tactics like changing the Caller ID number.  Unless I see written documentation of a debt, and am able to independently verify it, I will not deal with these companies.  I urge everyone to follow suit, regardless of what the 'Financial Counselor' above said (btw, nice astroturfing!)
