Received a recorded message on my answering machine informing me that my entry had been drawn for the "Great Outdoors Sweepstakes Giveaway", and that I was to call 877-596-4262 and speak to Wang Williams to collect my prize.  I called the number, and got an answering machine asking me to leave my name, number and the best time to call.

We have received multiple voice messages lately on our answering machine claiming that the message was in response to a Platinum Plus sweepstakes we entered for a 2012 SUV (for the record, none of us remember entering a sweepstakes).  It requested that we call David Allen at the 877-596-4262 number (caller ID says: Unassigned Unas 773-649-3415.  Also claimed there was no obligation, but there is a tax "something" (couldn't understand that part).

I got the same message a few minutes ago, saying I a won some Platinum Plus sweepstakes I entered. Winning a 2012 SUV which isn't the the first these fake "sweepstakes" people have called me saying this nonsense, when I clearly remember that I not entered any of those contests in a while. I'd never did win in the past so I just stopped. This is probable some internet scamers who want our in our information to
steal from us. They must be put to a stop.BEFORE IT'S TO LATE !!

The next time you get a "personal" letter or telephone call telling you "it’s your lucky day," the Federal Trade Commission encourages you to remember that:

    1. Legitimate sweepstakes don’t require you to pay or buy something to enter or improve your chances of winning, or to pay "taxes" or "shipping and handling charges" to get your prize.

If you have to pay to receive your "prize," it’s not a prize at all.
