a message was left on my work phone message, to call  Ms Gilmore about a wage garnishment.
i called, when i ask for copies of what ever papers showing that i owed this, ms Gilmore hung up.
i called back  ms Perkins took the call. said she had to have a debit card or credit card to set up
payment arrangements in order to stop the wage garnishment.  told her i would call back at lunchwith it.
i think this  is a SCAM...  they will not give any information or any paperwork, just demand payment....
said  this was a recovery center.  could not give any informationcause they are taking care of account for customer.

Same deal.  Got a call today from a "Ms. Thompson".  Said that I owe for a payday loan.  Wouldn't give me details and said that they did not send out any paperwork about the money they're trying to collect.  Got hostile towards me when I asked questions about the company she represented.  I asked for name and address.  She wanted to know what I wanted the information for and I was too was told that they were about to garnish my wages.

Got a call from Ms. Parker, regarding a wage garnishment. Since I don't owe any money to any, I found this highly unlikely, I refered them to my attorney, who I have on retainer and they hung up. Biggest Scam ever!

Ms. Parker called me at work yesterday. She said that she works for E.W Recovery. She was contacting me due to a wage garnishment. Nerver ever heard of them before. I to have no paper work from them. You would think that if the are really trying garnish wages like for real!! We would know about it.. How stupid!! Really all they are doing is tieing up our phone lines. In my case work.. God forbid an empoyee other than me picks up the phone.
    Why do they do this?

Got a call from a Ms Phyllis saying  I owe for a payday loan that I never received. She said that they were going to garnish my wages if I don't pay. I said that this is a fraud and I am going to get me an attorney, she said if I faxed her something from my bank saying that they never deposit any advance in my account they will stop the ganishment.. I asked when was the money deposit she says 2008 or 2009 she did not know.
How can she not know what date the money was deposit? This is a fraud. I am going to get my attorney to call them. I do not owe them jack!

Mrs. Thompson called my job and left a message with my co-worker that my wages were going to be garnished.... pretty odd considering that they cannot give out any of your business to random people they do not know.. maybe these people need to read a book or something to learn " debt collection practices". To date have never recieved anything from them as far as a formal letter or anything even saying I owe debt, just a phone call. i would say it's safe to say this is a SCAM!

To everyone on this site, just to let you know, they have to take you to court in order to get a wage garnishment.  DO NOT let them harass you into paying anything.  If you don't owe it, then, don't pay it and make them show up in court.  Also, if they are a legitimate collector, they have to tell you the company they are calling from and how much you owe and after your first contact, within 30 days, they have to send you a letter so that you can dispute the charges.  Do not do anything.  I received a phone message at work from a lady today named Mrs. Hardy and wanted me to call her in regards to a wage garnishment order.  Let her try.  I am not calling them back as I am sure this is one company that doesn't follow the law and if they try to take me to court, I will win anyway as I keep track of all calls from them.  I have an excellent attorney if they do try anything illegal and I am sure, it will all be illegal.

I received a call from Ms. Thompson saying she was going to garnish my wages if I didn't pay $1800.  When I asked her to send me something in the mail, she said she couldn't because they already had, but if I give her a card number it will generate a letter.

I received yet another call from this fake company, threatening with wage garnishment for an unpaid payday loan.  Besides never having such a loan, do they really think I was going to give them my bank information in order to set up a payment plan?  If your wages are going to be garnished, you will receive a written document etc.  No company will ever call you regarding such a serious matter.
PLEASE do not fall for this scam!!!
