The caller name is OLIVIA x 4042 and saying they are VERIZON, and want to get switch our plans  .

Someone from this number keeps calling me saying I owe them from a Feb bill. I haven't used Verizon in over a year. When I call the caller ID #, I get a recording that my #'s been blocked due to an excessive amount of calls from me!

I received a call some weeks ago from SOMEONE offering to save us money by switching our phone service and DSL from Qwest to AIC Verizon. Due to personal financial and emotional troubles, combined with severe depression, I foolishly agreed to their offer.  Received subsequent phone calls from 'supervisor' to confirm our verbal agreement; this scenario was repeated in about three weeks, during which time I lost my original notes on the transaction, and again I made verbal agreement to their switching my DSL and phone service at some unspecified time in future.  I was definitely NOT functioning normally, as I managed to lose notes on THAT conversation as well!
  Since then I have made several attempts to contact the phone number left in my Call Log on our wireless VTech  handsets, only to be told my call is blocked because of too many calls to their number.

The number I am reporting here is 1-315-627-7150,  NOT the number listed above at the top of this form, but the pattern of calls appears to be the same, so I know I wasn't entirely out of my mind or making this up.  I am 74 years old, with severe emphysema and COPD, and recently have been quite ill.  I want to CANCEL this possible contract permanently and stay with Qwest for the foreseeable future.  Can you help me do this?

I just received a similar call from a "Verizon" representative offering to save me money.  She ended up turning me over to a supervisor who seemed quite knowledeable.  She told me she could cut my phone bill in half and she would put me onto Fios.  I faxed her a proposal I had from Paetec and a recent bill. When we were talking after she reviewed the fax, I reminded her that Fios is not available in our area.  She said if I eliminated certain services with Paetec, they could take me on and work it out so I could get Fios.  When I questioned this, she did have some good answers, which later on didn't make exact sense to me.

I then called Paetec and asked all of the questions she advised that I ask.  Then, for some reason, the thought occurred to me to google the number  877-601-7246 and was surprised to find out that people are describing it as a scam.

What would these people stand to gain from this?
