this call came from wachovia bank.........offering promotions

Calls my number repeatedly (4 times so far in the last 3 days). They call when no one is home and do not leave a message. The caller ID says "UNAVAILABLE", so it is obviously some kind of scammer.

This sounds like it's related to the extremely irritating recent (and seemingly unending) phone calls from 877-615-0298, also purported to be from Wachovia.  Frankly, the calls from both of these numbers strike me as not on the up and up.

Called twice yesterday, called twice today leaving no message.  Wachovia promotion.  Automated system does allow you to enter your phone number in order to be removed from calling list.  May take up to 30 days to be entirely removed from their list.  
And why have I chosen to have my phone number unlisted?  Wish I were home when Wachovia called that I may answer and waste their time as they've wasted mine.
Going forward will I choose Wachovia for my banking/loan needs?  Nope.  Have to deal with annoyances everyday; will not tolerate these types of annoyances in my very own home.

Got the same thing.  However, Wachovia doesn't exist any more.  It was one of the first big banks to go under.  Its branches should have already been re-branded as Wells Fargo branches.  The purchase of Wachovia Corporation by Wells Fargo was completed on December 31, 2008. Wells Fargo purchased Wachovia after a government-forced sale to avoid a failure of Wachovia.

This is extremely suspicious, and more sophisticated than the usual prank call.

How can I stop these calls!!!

Take over was completed, but Wachovia branches remain Wachovia in name...as part of Wells Fargo.

These calls are not coming from Wachovia.  It is a scam.

I get one call a day from this number on my work phone.

Getting at least one call a day for 2 weeks now. I am tired of it.

I am receiving calls 4 - 6 times a day no messages unknown number one showed up as being Wachovia it continues and has been going on for over a month.  I am sick of these calls.  My phone is part business and part personal.  I can't use it for them screwing it up when it rolls to voice mail it shows as message or you hear the operator say if you wish to make a call hang up.

I am on the no call list for both home and cell.  A lot of good that is doing with this one.

just had a call from this lice,i had to f####### him up,we need to have these senators that we pay for to write bills IN CONGRESS to cover us from these slime b############, BUT IT SEEM THEY ONLY WRITE BILLS TO COVER THEMSELVES TOO.

If you call the number, an auto attendant answers and says Wachovia recently tried to contact you regarding a promotion.  If you are not interested, you can key in your phone number to be removed from the contact list.  Easy solution.
