Im trying to figure that out.  They are calling people I know and when I asked who they were they wouldnt even tell me. But they told my friend that I had a payday loan in 2006.. Really?  When I first called Bryan hung up on me then called me from a 412 number

Has anyone discovered any additional information on these people.  I too, just got a call from someone name Bryan saying that there is some kind of debt from 1999 (REALLY?)  and they are the legal department about to file a 1099C with the IRS.  I called my state Attorney General's office and they said they CAN NOT try to collect on anything without sending a letter.  I never received any letter from this company.  I want to send a cease letter to them but I can't find out any more information on them.  When I asked for their address he said he couldn't give it out because of "threats."   He says it for a credit card debt with Newport News.  I do remember ever having a card with Newport News.  The numbers coming up on my caller ID are 215-391-1479 and 215-789-9830.  But they give the number of 877-615-0337 to call them back on.

I received a call from "Reggie" who threatened me with a 1099 C for a 20 year old credit card debt which was a joint account with a former husband who has since died. I suppose they bought a bundle of old debts and are now trying to collect. Since my former husband agreed to pay this debt, I am supposing he did. ALL of these collection agencies are like scum sucking bottom feeders.

These people have been calling my son for several years in reference to a payday loan of which he has never participated in that sort of loan.  Furthermore he is able to prove where he was when that loan was made (in the middle of the Gulf).  Still they keep calling.  They have been rude, hateful, vile, and persistant.  This last person who called was Jordan from Processing AGA and Associates.  Her number showed as an Asheboro, NC 521-7774 which on a reverse number search comes up as a Vonage small bussiness phone.  The number she gave me to call her back on was 877-615-0337 and with the reverse number search brought me here.  She said they had paperwork ready to be filed under his name and social.  He has told them that if they can produce any paperwork with his signature on it, he would be happy to pay it.  They never have and can't.  As I said, He was in the middle of the Gulf.  Idiots?  I think so.

Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  When they call you or your son again, tell them that you are recording all calls they make to give to your own attorney for a lawsuit based on their multiple violations of the FDCPA.  It would be a good idea for you and your son to record the calls and keep a log of the dates and times called.  They never send paperwork because they're scammers, hoping to scare people into paying bogus debts.

Today I received yet ANOTHER call from these jerks.  I talked to the PA Attorney General's office and a lawyer.  This company "AGA" are using extreme collection actions - they started calling me about a week and half ago stating that my husband has a debt from 1999!!  If I do, we don't remember it.  They are claiming to file a 1099-C with the IRS.  First they told me (Bryan) that he could not give the address for obvious reasons which I don't why unless they are scare folks would start showing up there because of their "scare tactics" - My response was - well wouldn't a PO Box fix that??  In addition, I called a number they gave me 888-982-7310 around midnight last night and first got a voice message stating "you've reached the desk of Matthew Ward" - then called back and got a "please leave a message" guess someone forgot to change voice message and caught it after I called the first time.  :)  But not before I got a name!!!

Needless to say, today I received another call - this time from a Ms. Kasinger (sounds like she's playing secretary) - told her I was recording the call (advice from the attorney) - and I needed all phone numbers and an address.  This is what I was able to get (the so-called secretary sounded new, so maybe I lucked out.)  She said let me give you my manager's number and after she gave it to me I asked "Is this for Matthew Ward?"  She said yes!!

The owner of the companies names are Eric Strand , and Jason Scott. This is a collection agency which is not licensed in every state. I am actually a current employee here. They lie to all of us. One of them has an ongoing relationship with one of the employees here and they let her leave the office all the time for no reason. We are calling debt that was charged off from 1994-2003. We as employees are directed to raise the balances of the accounts to make more money off the people. We lie to people and tell them we are going to put a 1999 charge off collection account back on the person's credit report. That will never happen people.

Eric's number is: [removed] and Jason's number is: [removed] - If you feel you have been a victim of unfair debt collection practice act, contact an attorney let them know the number that contacted you and what was stated and done. If you can record the call that's for the better.

Do your homework people and figure out the laws!

I have been getting these calls saying I owe for a payday loan from 2008. Which I know better. I spoke with a Richard Maple from Alliance Group. He stated that my loan was with Compass Capital LLC. When I would not verify information, he got upset and told me congratulations and they would see me in court. I just said ok and hung up. The number the call came from was 877-354-7590.

Got a call from Shaun Thomas and Richard Maple. Richard Maple stated that I owe a payday loan from 2010. WRONG! Try again boo boo kitty! LOL! I simply explained to the jerk that in NC, we have court systems and sheriffs that would have delivered the subpoena for me to appear in court. His reply was "I know but we do this as a courtesy ma'am" LOL! Chile please. You can't come for a diva like me who knows NC law. He should have threatened me long time ago before I became educated on the level of foolishness that folk like him and his crew chooses to partake in.

I just got a call from collections that said I owed them money on a loan back from 2006.  I told them I wasn't aware of a loan and I wanted proof.  They said that because they had my ss# and former address they didn't have to provide proof and they just wanted the money.  These days with everything that's hacked and information that goes out, who would be stupid enough just to hand out money?  All I asked for was written proof of a loan and they refused to provide one.  DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE

They too called me stating I owed a credit card from 2009 and they were going to file a 1099 C. What bothers me is they had my social security number!!! How do we stop them!!

I received a call from 712-560-1253, Jennifer King, Alliance Group & Associates (AGA) stating that I have a mastercard balance outstanding from April of 2000 to April of 2002.  I ask her with whom, she mentioned Aspire, New World and CompuCredit.  I dont have such a CC.  Its concerning when they appear to have my SSN, she gave me the last 4 digits of it and an address that I have not lived at for almost 10 years. I asked for their address, at first they wouldnt give it, then gave me an address of P.O. Box 17491, Greenville, SC 29606. and a phone # of 844-705-0293.   I will be contacting an attorney to stop this nonsense.
