I received a message on my cell phone today.  It was from Independent Couriers stating that I was being given 48 hours notice to be at my house (in 2 days) and have a valid form of id.  If I was not at home then they would make an attempt at my place of employment.  They said that I would have to sign a document....then said if I had any questions about what I was signing to call the number back.  Yes, I will gladly lose pay at my job to sit at home and wait for someone not to show up at my house with mysterious "papers" that I have to sign.....if I was going to served with anything for the courts, I'm sure that they don't call to let you know they are coming before they do.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize (plus I'm at work, so usually don't even see any missed calls until lunch time).  I will be filing a complaint with everyone that will listen, because it's ridiculous how many people probably fall for their BS.....

I have also received a phone call from this number (877-626-4774 Melissa, Independent Couriers).  I agree with Angie - if I was going to be served legal documents, they would not call in advance with a warning.  I believe this is a collection agency and they will threaten in any way they can.

is this a scam? they called about a month or two ago and said they had "papers" to serve me. i know damn well i would not get a call before i was going to be served papers. what can i do about this? it is very annoying and now they have my work number.

I also Received the same message!!! I have no clue what this is in reference to but it definitely has caused unnessary stress. Im not happy at all!!!! Has anyone actually got any documents frombthis currier???

I received a call today - from this number - the name left was Micheal Stevenson - legal support services - -- calling to say they were going to serve papers on me within the next 48 hours - or if I missed the apt. they would come to my work and do it in front of a manager ----

they called from an unknown out of area .... ??? have no idea - when I called the number they left -- couldn't understand the message very well -- sounded like north term management  -- I am thinking SCAMM
