I didn't get a call from this # but I received a reply to a Craigs List ad to call her at  8776490559.  I know this is a scam but I just don't know what the angle is yet?

I got the same thing, probably another scam.

I got a response to my add from craiglist with this number to call, i searched it and all chinese websites came back, I am guessing it is a scam too!

its a 1-877 number so I would imagine just calling it would start billing you. then if they just keep you on the line long enough youve spent $40. I think thats how the scam works.

same happened to me today!

This number came as a text with the message call me beside it. They didn't identify themselves so I wasn't calling.

Same. I got the text from 877-649-0559 that says 'Please call me'. Thanks to this blog, I didn't call back.

Same. I got the text with "Please call me"..... no identification.  I do have an ad up on Craigslist so based on the comments above, it's a scam from that.

got same message just 1 minute ago. send from an email address at aol.com

877 area code is a toll-free number to callers but toll-frees also capture all incoming numbers.  *67 will not work to block your calling number from toll-frees. If you call a toll-free, they will capture your calling number.

Same thing ... text message.  Glad I Googled first before responding!

and received a text from this number:

got the same message   they are scamming people that have a craigslist ad and a phone number. Dont call as it will capture/ confirm you CELL number and they will start to send spam advertizing to your text message.
