- Jackie replies to Bubbayep, its Suntrust. They start calling me about the 6th of the month, even though its not REALLY late until after the 15th or so. If you answer and give them a date you plan to pay then they should stop calling.

- Mike| 3 repliesI answered and there was no one there. I decided to look up the number and thanks to google and thanks to your post! I somehow missed my Suntrust payment on my equity line last month. I appreciate your posts otherwise I might have not realized my mistake until it got worse. Thanks for your help!
- yoyo replies to Mike| 2 repliesthey call before the payment is even late according to there own statements very annoying.
- Horse Girl replies to yoyoYes, it's SunTrust & they called me too well before my payment is actually considered late. They called me this weekend at 8:25 a.m.! I feel this is total harassment, especially when I always make my payment on time. Also, in my opinion, it's not an efficient use of the caller's time that they're paying a salary to. Wait till the payment is actually late, SunTrust.
- RAHThe caller, Ramon, was a total tool. He wanted me to give him my PII without explaining why. After identifying himself as working for Suntrust, he refused to give me any info about the reason for his call (even though he called me), refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor, and was rude. As executor of my fathers estate I will be bring this issue to the attention of Suntrust management.

- S| 1 replySuntrust. I have a 1st mortgage and equity line with them. My most recent payment to the EL was late, but I paid OFF the BALANCE of my equity line yesterday at a branch bank and they still called at 9AM today. They also regularly call me before the 15th of the month to 'collect a debt' regarding my mortgage payment which isn't 'late' until after the 15th. I've only been truly late about 3 times on my mortgage and have great credit so it's really upsetting to get these calls when I'm not late. They're a little too proactive, they should be spending this time calling people who are truly behind or working with people who are trying to avoid foreclosure.

- JackieIt looks like there are people using the Sun Trust Caller ID to call people to obtain personal information.
This is none other than a ploy to steal your identity. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION! - Too Many "Unknown" CallsGot a call from this number today (showed up as "Unknown" but was able to find the number via the phone's call log). A guy by the name of Kevin asks to speak to my boss. I ask who he's calling with and he says he's calling for my boss. I say, "I know who you're calling *for*, but who are you calling *with*?" And then he just says, "Is he available or not?"
If you're not going to answer my question, then hell no, he's not. Goodbye.- Caller: SunTrust, according to reverse lookup
- TriciaDI get repeated calls daily, VM pickes and records nothing on the other end, but the line stays open for several minutes (causing me money!) and nothing ever happens on the other end
- Rhonda| 1 replyI have been getting multiple calls daily, two to four times per day. They say they are SunTrust. They are NOT. I do my banking at SunTrust, and I have a mortgage and home equity loan, plus checking accounts. In the early phone calls, they either hung up or left a "refinance at a lower rate" message. More recently, they have been saying they are "SunTrust Collections." I am not behind on ANY payments, so this made no sense. I finally answered the call and talked to a woman who immediately asked me for social security information. I refused to give it to her, and she got nasty, saying they were a collection agency, and I needed to verify who I was using the last 4 digits of my social security number before she could explain more. I refused and said until I knew with certainty who she was, that I would not give any such information over the phone. She continued to insist she was calling for SunTrust and was rude, saying that I owed money unless I could verify that I did not by giving my social security information so she could check. I refused and said that I would go to my local SunTrust branch to check myself...and she hung up. I went to my SunTrust branch, and they verified that the people calling from this number are NOT SunTrust. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! IT IS A SCAM.
- Caller: wrongfully claimed to be SunTrust
- Call type: Debt collector
- BeckUnprofessional. They must be calling for someone in my office but every time I answer the phone I hear them having personal conversations before they realize the call was picked up.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Jan Haerer| 1 replyHarassing phone calls early and late demanding personal information. They give NO information back other than they are SunTrust. SunTrust asserts they would never ask for such info over the phone ... am trying to get them blocked.
- Caller: Claim to be SunTrust
- Thin replies to RhondaWhen you get "intruders" like this calling just start using every cuss word you can on them.
- Thinner| 1 replyIt is Suntrust with a "reminder call" if your payment is a couple days past the payment date.
You have a 15 day "grace period" and there are no penalties associated until the grace period lapses.
I told the b!tch speaking with a heavy Indian accent that I don't need a reminder call as I am well aware of when the payment is due ... and, am well aware of the grace period.- Caller: suntrust
- Call type: Event reminder
