they do not disclose who they are or what they want on that you are to call them back asap before they are forced to make a decision on taking you to court

Got a phone call from this number this afternoon. They left a voice message (that cut out right at the beginning like "Thi- . . . This is (continues on)") saying that I had an important issue with their company (UPS LLC.) I've recently ordered several things online and so thought that it was for the shipping company UPS, but when I called back the number it said it was for the purposes of collecting a debt (not about shipping) and was voiced by a British woman (I live in the U.S., was supposedly calling a U.S. number so it seems strange to have such a British voice doing the automated message.) anyway, it said the line was busy so I hung up and called back a few minutes later. This time the phone was picked up and immediately hung up. I know that the call wasn't lost so I can only assume the person I called immediately hung up. The only purchases I've made recently have been with gift cards so I can't see that this is legitimate. If anyone knows for sure if this is a scam or not, please let me know.

This # has been calling my cell since November.  I answered the call once and it was an automated message indicating that I owe money and demanding that I call back at a certain # to discuss.  I checked my credit report for fraud and noted that I have no late payments, liens, outstanding collections, or negative remarks on my credit report.  Further I google researched the company UPS LLC and folks on the internet are reporting that it is company run by scammers.  If you actually owe money, you would already know that you owe money via mail or phone call from the party that provided you goods/services.  Do NOT give them any personal information.

I also received a voice mail from this number on my home # and my cell phone.  I returned the call and the person answering said they were hired by MLA Holding Co. (I think.  She was talking so fast, I almost couldn't understand what she was saying).  I also thought this was UPS.  After verifying my address, I was put on hold for about 5 minutes and then cut off.  I was never told what the call was all about, but that I was a defendant.

Getting multiple calls from this number...at least 4 or 5 times a week. Never answer, just listen to the message from a woman saying she is from UPS LLC and needs to speak to me about an important matter. Asks me to return the call and gives a reference number. Makes no sense that if we did owe money, we would have heard from the service provider directly rather than from a debt collection agency which I am assuming from comments here and elsewhere is what it is.  Until today, I thought it was just a mistake from UPS (Shipping Co) which we don't use. Now I am convinced after reading all the comments here and other sites noting same info with this number as well as a different number, still same message,  that it is a scam or a very poorly-run business.

I got a call from them yesterday and today.  I do not answer 800/866/877 calls if its not programmed in my phone already.  So let it go to voice mail.  When they said UPS "LLC" I knew that "big brown" is not an LLC so I knew it wasn't about a package.   I got home googled "UPS LLC" first and it looks like they were just recently using 866-936-7667 as well so program that in your phones as a do not answer as well.

The funny part is ... "we're debt free" ... yeah we don't own anyone anything but the month to month stuff.

getting two to three calls a day on my cell phone they said the message for some other name than mine
so i didn't bother to call back but they keep calling and leaving messages that i need to take care of an important matter using up my minutes   is this legal?

Unified PS Group called this company. It stated that I had my MLA account with them. I was confused and we sat on the phone. I found out I was very delinquent on my loan. They answered all my questions and they actually saved me some money too. Mr Givens helped me out and he was very nice too. At least some company is doing it the right way. I was pleasantly surprised, definitely happy with my experience with them.

Called this 877 number back thought what now woman answered said Unified Portfolio Servicing asked for my DOB and address I usually don’t like talking to these companies I thought it was another credit card company but it was for my payday loan I took out and boy I'm glad they called when they did I settled it out for pennies was very happy at the end of that call Ms Tyson was very helpful got my letter that day no fuss

Double shill alert!  Look for your caps lock and punctuation keys on that grimy boiler room floor.

I have been getting calls from these people for a few years. They call me everyday for a few weeks and then stop. I actually had conversations with 3 different people there. One of them made me cry with her threats. The next guy was nice and worked with me. The third one was the same way as the second guy. I stopped answering because I explained to them that I do not owe what they are saying I owe. I actually went to the business they say I owed over $500 to and I never owed them anything. It was a bank!! I asked the UPS LLC who I owed and they told me it was a bank. I told them I went into the branch and was told I owe nothing. The second guy I talked to told me that was fine must be a mistake. The third guy when he started calling me after several months told me it was an old debt so they wouldnt' know. Are you serious?? Idiot. So I said well why have I never heard from anyone but you that I owe this money? Also, how the heck can I owe if I never had an account with this said bank? I only had a brokerage account there.

If everything you are saying is accurate, then you have the right to sue them under the FDCPA and recover damages.  You only have one year from the violation to file suit, so you should act promptly.

based on what you have said, you likely have both an FDCPA violation and a TCPA violation for calls to your cell phone as long as they don't have consent.  Consent can be given by listing your cell number on a credit application.  Save any VM and take screen shots of your phone's recent calls daily to document the number of unauthorized calls.  If the messages are automated, then that is also a violation of the TCPA.

This number calls me at least 3 times a week. I have tried to call back but only get the run around. They are very rude and can never answer any of my questions. All they ask for is my credit card info to settle a debt over the phone. I do not have any past due debt! So thanks for your comments. I now know this is a scam!
