He then takes your car key and takes ALL car parts of value off of your vehicle to sell. He disappears never to be heard from again and won’t return phone calls or texts. He is a well-known scammer so we should keep the community informed.

He has a long criminal rap sheet at the Santa Barbara Police Department. Beware. He has gone to jail several times for this scam so obviously he isn’t going to quit anytime soon.
He is now saying his name is Joe or Joseph or Al. His real legal name is Gabe Lopez. The Santa Barbara Police Department knows him and can look him up in case he rips you off.
He is using the fake names Joe or Jose and AL and James
