just got a letter regarding a refund of "several" thousand dollars on my mortgage, consumer analysis to determine eligibility, etc.  Call this number for further information.  Yaa right.

Yup, got the same letter today saying the same thing.  Momma always taught me that you never get something for nothing...how many out there bet its a scam, LOL!

A form letter stating that I may be owed thousands of dollars based on an overcharge or miscalculation on my mortgage loan.  The letter states a reference eligibility code.

Looks like scammer mail, everything about it reaks of rip-off, danger, run!

What can I do as a recipient?  We never respond to this kind of crap.

just got my SCAM letter today December 14, 2010

got my letter today too, 12/14 and fine! its a scam! that sucks and all, but my concern is how do these fools get information on when I bought my house and how much I paid. Just how much information do they have on me?

From a public record, the same information they have about my mortgage is posted on the county web site.

I got my letter today! Dang I'm sad was hoping I could be a sucker and get some money back but after reading everyone elses post I chickened out.  Would be nice though.

I received my letter from PO Box 788 Sandy UT 84091 after several months of harrowing and illegal identity theft. The person increased credit limits without my using the cards  consenting or having knowledge. They also have stolen mail, and have filed for bankruptcy or been shopping bankruptcy attorneys as well as been shopping at Ethan Allen, and HH Gregg stores I never go to. Isn't that amazing that they can be shopping for a bankrutpcy attorney and shopping at really nice stores at the same time or just a short time after? I have now received a letter from this company telling me my mortgage entitles me to a way over 6 figure refund. I'm writing all this to say PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE AN IDENTITY THEFT VICTIM AND YOU RECEIVED YOUR "REFUND LETTER" AFTER IT LOOKED LIKE YOU WERE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE WITH NO WAY OUT. Yes my identity thieves are currently trying to make it look like I owe the money they stole in court. .

I actually found this site AFTER i called in... There are a lot of scary things out there. Anyway this company is Accelerated Equity and Development from SLC Utah. They have a A+ rating with the BBB and been in business 14 years. What they do is mortgage audits. Mortgage audits exist. I had one done with them. I did have a discrepancy in my mortgage. My mortgage company apologized for the mistake and credited me back. It was an easy and simple process. Scams can't get A+ ratings with the BBB and they certainly can't stay around for 14 years. I would recommend you give them a call.

yeah they do mortgage audits. A+ in the BBB in business 14 years, I agree with the others. this is a real company that really does good business. if you received a letter, you were pre screened and may have a refund due back. if you do, you get the credit from the bank, if you don't you don't owe anything. it's a pretty cool program.

I'm having them do an audit. I'll get back to you when the audit is complete. They were really nice on the phone.

I just visited the BBB website and I see nothing about a A+ Rating... In fact, thet state clearly that they are investigating the company's motives and solicitation practices.
