Received several calls from this number between 2p.m. and 4p.m. on my cell phone. Wonder who was it.
Glad to see this, now I won't bother to answer. Ironic because I have just ADDED a new line on my own volition, so I sure don't need another. BTW since we already are their customers, the do not call law does not apply. However, they never did this to me before, as I saw this happened to others in 2007.
lol that is so funny... the people that call you... Do you think that they want to!!! NOT!!! they are just trying to make a living... dont threaten... be nice and just ask them not to call you...
Yeah Megan. I'll make sure to be super friendly next time they call me in the middle of the night and attempt to get information out of me that they would already have if thy were legitimately who they said they were. Maybe I'll ask how things are going... if their family's well... offer 'em a hug... Are you kidding me?
These people call me and bother me, too, but calling them "snakes" is really strange. It's a job, for God's sake. It may be the only job they can get. The people that don't have jobs right now simply because they refuse to do something like this are the "snakes." How bizarre to feel this way about people who are just trying to earn an honest living.
Funny...drug dealers are just trying to make a living also. These people have no morals. Like the people calling for the Police Fund trying to raise money for children in need....less than 10% of those funds go to the children, the rest is used for operating expenses and paying people to that make these calls. Prostitutes just do a "job" also. There is no lower form of life than a telemarketer that calls people that don't want to be called.
To the comment who said their just trying to make a living ...its already bad enough the service sucks and not to mention if I wanted to add something on don't you think I would call ..I don't need anymore annoying calls..and if their gona call to try and sell me some more crap than leave a message if it was soooo damn important to SELL ME something lol this humors me!
Does anyone read the comments before posting. It was mentioned previously that this number is not sprint but a phone scam. Likely a phising scam to steal personal info or your identity or something. There is a lot of this sort of thing going on. A lot of the scammers will even do ID spoofs to make it look like they are calling from a different number. As internet security preventing such scams through email and the likes decreases the old methods of scamming increases.
I called Sprint/nextel as soon as I called this number (877) 671-1851 from a land line. It is NOT SPrint or Nextel. They looked up that number and it is NOT one of thier lines. They do NOT call fo promotions unless you are on thier calling list. I have had nextel for 5 years and have NEVER once gotten a call like this. Do not answer it.
I get calls from this number about once a day. I have called it back and acknowledged that I do not want to be contacted anymore. They typically call while I am at work. The offer is to add a line. I am single and currently living on my own. I do not need additional lines :)
Every day around 12 7/21/07 7/20/07 7/19/07 7/18/07 7/17/07
I stopped scrolling back at this point.
Isn't this grounds for Harassment since I called back twice and selected the option that I was not interested in adding a line
This is a number calling from Sprint/Nextel. It annoys me greatly. I can't possibly pay these ppl more than I have already. They are a rip-off. Just waiting for the end of my contract date. Cricket and Verizon get better serice than I do. They get service at my house, and I dont!
I switched my mother from cricket to sprint, and sheis still receiving bills from Cricket. We call them only to hav them tell us "the account was closed and there is a zero balance". This has been going on for 7 moths now. Cricket sucks!
I write it on rest room walls ( free phone sex ) Hope they like that as much as I enjoy the calls. You can also treat them as if they are phone sex operators , What they going to do ? stop calling ? Have some fun with it. CC
yeah i've been getting this same number i answered once but no one said anything so i hung up its really annoying, i've been getting it the same as everyone else.
Has anyone tried contacting someone about this annoying issue? what were your results if you did?
I just got a call for the second time and when I said I wasn't interested they quit talking...I think it is because they aren't supposed to hang up on you. Anyway, this is no way for sprint to be treating their customers and so far we have been really happy with our service and don't want to change just because of this.
Hi, This is sprint trying to offer you more crap. I hate these butt wholes. calling me during a recession trying to offer me some BS. I absolutely hate sprint. Everything you do you gotta extend your contract. They are the worse phone carrier I've ever had. I can't wait until my contract is up. Metro PCS here I come.
if it is sprint, why do they say you can qualify for a new auto loan?! i get this call once a day every week day around lunch.. im leaving sprint asap!!
This is not Sprint. Sprint should only contact you via text or email, or by phone if you have just spoken to them. I received the same call and told the operator this, she immediately hung up. It is a scam, do not give them any of your personal information.
This is not Sprint, it is a scam. Do not give them your personal information. Sprint will contact you via email or text. I told this to the "telemarketer" when she called and she immediately hung up.
Yeah, when I told them I was busy, I got hung up on. More than likely, it's a scam. Even Sprint's customer service wouldn't get away with too much of that behavior. Just don't answer or b***h them out and they'll hang up on you. It works.
my caller actually left a message. He sai his name was Justin and that he had a couple of questons for me on the home we purchased from a dealer, but he didn't mentin the dealer's cmpany name. He also called us by name.
I called the number back and it was Sprint. They are trying to sell additional lines, etc. You can hit 6 to inform them you are not interested. Hopefully this will end these calls.
Good thing they called, when I am interested in a additional line...now I know who to call.
NOT sprint! try calling from an home telephone. this is totally a scam. don't even call back to press 6. they will keep calling. it is a bogus message.
I just received a call from this number today on my cell phone. I answered it but no one was there. No response and I could not hear anyone in the back ground. I didn't know who it was but it made me curious on why someone would have my cell phone number.
I received calls from this number and answered asking them not to call again and woman kept talking. Today they called at 12:30 p.m. and I then called Sprint to ask that calls stop. She said they do not come from the Sprint help office in FL but that she would report it and ask that they stop. We will see what happens! She also said that there is no charge to person called when you pick up!! That was NOT the point but good to hear in case you pick up by mistake.
I've had Sprint for 5 years, never had a problem with the service and have a spectacular plan that they dont offer anymore but they call me incessantly everytime I reach the point where I could get money off on a new phone or I look online for what deals I could get on a new phone. Ignore them and eventually they will quit calling.
This is what I get from sprint for loyalty? i've had sprint for ever since I can remember - over ten years. i don't answer "toll free" numbers and if it's important they can leave me a message - which they don't. I'm seriously considering switching to T-Mobile. They have a better offer. Will see what sprint has to offer. will be interesting.
I too received a call during dinner time. I traced the number back to Sprint, sent them a complaint notice and within 2 hours I received a reply stating that they will cease all contact, vmail, text etc regarding their promotions.
They called me to and got me so upset that I ate my phone. Ihad to wait two whole days to have it go through my system. Thañk god for my protective case on my phone. IT STILL WORKS. They stopped calling and even though my phone smells funky it was totally worth it. Hope I could help.
thanks. I've been getting numerous calls from 877 671 1851 in recent weeks. ..and just began wondering who was soo anxious to talk with me. I am with Sprint, also.
Me too. I don't care if its a scam or just Sprint...I'm not gonna take the change while I'm driving to answer that number. The internet is a lovely thing
Grrr....if I don't recognize the number I simply do not answer the call and if they don't leave a message that is a big red flag. I will admit it is annoying when you are on a no call list and still get unknown calls and I wish there was a way to slap them in the face.
