Hey,

My wife and I got a letter in the mail about saving $$ on our mortgage and had our mortgage co. on the letter.  This phone number you had is the same one we have.  We called it and just had a busy signal. Might be a scam?

I also got the same letter.  My mortgage company was Cornerstone, and it said specifically for my town.  They had the amount of the original loan and were promising 20,000+ saving without refinancing.

I also keep getting a busy signal.

Funny thing was it said to call the number before 11/10/09 and I got it 11/12/09.

Just came across this number in a financial blog. This is the Money Merge Account from United First Financial which is a software program that purports to "save" you many $thousands of home mortgage interest and costs $3500. Don't buy it. It's not exactly a scam but you can save yourself the same $thousands for free by doing it yourself. Simply pay $extra towards mortgage principal when you make your regular mortgage payment every month. The more you pay, the sooner you pay, the faster the mortgage will be paid off and the less interest your mortgage will cost you. I know many are upside down in their mortgage and no one's posted here in a long time, I'm just adding this to make sure nobody falls for the MMA. Not a scam but a complete waste of your hard-earned $3,500.
