These are the most obnoxious people I have ever met in my life.  Anyone who would like to have a fun time calling them back just to annoy THEM, try extention 3110.  I don't even own a Sears card and they are trying to tell me I owe over $4,000!  They can shove it, and I've had a fine time prank calling them, I suggest it!  It's stress relieving!!

These idiots keep calling for the same person and I have told them a million times that this is no longer his number.  They say they will update it in the system, yet I keep wasting my cell phone minutes checking threatening messages that aren't even for me....I swear I am going to pull my hair out!!!

Keeps calling. Wrong person. Told them to stop calling. Just ignores me. Same person. "This is Mr. Hill calling for Mr.*** or your attorney for impending business decision.  Blah blah blah."   Unknown ID.  If you have a land line, phone company is able to reject unknown ID. Does not work for a cell which I have.

Seems like they call each and every person with the same last name.  Looks like these people may have Internet Phone.  They call from different Area Codes, (707), (877), (201).  With internet phone you can buy different area codes for the same phone line.  The best way to handle these guys is, ignore them or when they call, talk to them like you dont understand what are they talking about, give them hard time, and do your best to waste their time Or simply Hang up on them. They don't get paid by hour.

Better yet...if you get to talk to a person, talk to them for s *short* while as if you were interested. Then ask them politely if they can hold on because you have to take care of something urgently. And have them wait on the line for 10 minutes. Then simply hang up the phone. That will waste quite some of their time and will hurt.

My brother who is homeless appearantly owes some debts. This morning Miss Bonner from protocol debt collectors 877-678-0567 ext 3102 called at 7:30 AM to collect on my brothers debt.  I tried helping him years ago by giving him a job and since then I have been harrassed over and over by these bottom feeders. I called Miss Bonner at Protocol this morning to inform her that my brother cannot be contacted at this number and to stop calling. I asked for the address so I could send a certified letter telling them to cease calling and she just said "find it out." ok, I am up for a challenge. When I find it I will post it here for all to see.

Thank you for all the information.  I came across another address for Protocol Recovery Service which was listed on my credit report .  It is 50 Mercer Avenue, Panama City, FL  32401.  No phone number was listed.  To be on the safe side, the letter to "cease all communication" should probably be addressed to the Georgia address with a cc to the Florida address.

If you have sent the certified letter and the call does not stop, when they call again answer it and take a note of the day, time, and name of person calling. Keep doing that for a couple of days, then go to http://www.pekor-dewoskinatlantaattorneys.com/ and contact these Atlanta lawyers. Tell them that you want to sue Protocol for violation of FDCPA. The fees will be affordable, and by affordable I mean anybody still breathing can afford it.

Well that didn't take long. I hit on their address within the 1st 2 minutes of searching. This is the address for Protocol for those interested in contacting them and returning the favor. I will continue the search to see what other addresses I can find for them. By the way this is a link to the website that led me to the address.

Started receiving calls from "unavailable" numbers on my cell at all hours of the day, some at night as well....also receiving them at work....I was finally able to get the address today to send a letter to them to "cease all communications" which is under the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act." (http://www.nysconsumer.gov/publications.htm) Ms. Cobbs from (877)678-0567, Ext 3130 started calling constantly at my job, I asked her each time to stop calling me...she somehow got another number for my "supervisor" and started calling that number. Today, she called me so many times that it literally interfered with my job as well as my co-workers' jobs.  I would tell her each time, "stop calling me at my job" to which she nastily replied, "I will keep calling you at your job because it is my business to do so" and quite frankly she was a total "B-tch"  I had her on speaker phone and other people heard her.  I would hang up and she would call right back....she called at least 7 - 8 times in a row.  Got to the point, the state police were called on my behalf and a complaint was lodged.  I was emotionally distraught...it is unbelievable.  This collection agency's tactics of intimidation and threats need to stop.
